Norwegian Thriller, IN ORDER OF DISAPPEARANCE, To Be Remade As A Liam Neeson Headliner!
Actor Liam Nesson is already stacking up these days with several titles that ought to continue keeping him releavant a few years longer with historical dramas Operation Chromite and Silence forthcoming. Currently he’s at work in reunion with director Jaume Collet-Serra’s The Commuter from StudioCanal and it’s not stopping there.
For this, we turn to the Norwegian thriller, In Order Of Disappearance with actor Stellan Skarsgård who stars as an introverted snow plow driver determined to find answers behind the death of his son, only to land him in the crosshairs of two opposing sides of a violent underworld gangwar. That film, following its 2014 premiere in Berlin and subsequent wins and nominations in the festival circuit throughout Europe and the U.S., is now getting a North American remake from StudioCanal starring Neeson, and from none other than the film’s original director, Hans Petter Molland, and its original producers, Finn Gjerdum and Stein Kvae with Michael Shamberg also on board to produce.
Executive producing is Paul Schwartzmann with Frank Baldwin writing a script that will set the story in the U.S. accordingly.
As a noteworthy mention, Neeson’s The Commuter was one of two titles acquired by Lionsgate from StudioCanal late last year with the other, helmer Susanna White’s Our Kind Of Traitor which also stars Skarsgård with lead actor Ewan McGregor and opens in the U.K. this July.
