Award-winning Vietnamese/Indian stunt multi-hyphenate Peter Hein (Petta, Baahubali 1 and 2, Darbar) is one of the most prolific stunt and action multi-hyphenates working in Indian cinema today, and as of late, he’s well on his way to forging his own feature directing debut in Vietnamese MMA pic, Penitent.
Production on the new action drama actually took off some several years ago back in 2016 with Hein reportedly having spent a year in prep with his cast, including lead actor Bình Minh who stars in the film as an ex-boxer who enters a fighting circuit to support his wife and daughter. The film is Vietnamese and Indian production and is shot in both Vietnam as well as India.
Penitent is only now making headway with an official trailer ahead of a January 15 release. Also starring are Anh Thu, Kha Ngan, Viet Huong.
