SANAK: HOPE UNDER SIEGE: Vidyut Jammwal Goes Ham On Terrorists In The Official Trailer
Director Kanishk Varma is in more than great company with producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah (Commando trilogy, Force, Force 2) in his stewardship, particularly as the two inch closer to their latest effort, Sanak: Hope Under Siege. The film is Varma’s second at the helm and with none other than actor and action star Vidyut Jammwal headlining the new hostage thriller, and an official trailer already making the rounds to help leave quite the impression.
The setup? Jammwal turns into a one-man army as he takes on a band of terrorists who’ve seized the very hospital he just admitted his wife into its care to help treat her life-threatening heart condition.
Featuring routinely exquisite action sequences from the amply talented stunt team led by one of Jackie Chan’s own members, Andy Long Nguyen (Commando 3, Khuda Haafiz), the trailer above does a damn good deal in sampling the goods yet to come, and you can especially argue it comes at a great time when the martial arts genre remains leaving a distinct impression for audiences with this year’s select Hollywood releases, most prominently Marvel’s Shang-Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings.
Best of all is that folks subscribed to Disney Plus Hotstar can expect Sanak: Hope Under Siege to arrive on October 15, which isn’t too long a wait as we speak. Releases elsewhere on other platforms and/or theaters if possible remain pending I suppose. Fingers crossed!
