SRI ASIH: Pevita Pearce Delivers Feel-Good Justice In A New Knockout Trailer!
It was a little over three years ago when the Bumilangit Cinematic Universe began taking shape with Joko Anwar’s inaugural action adventure, Gundala, starring Abimana Aryasatya in the title role. Imaginably, life without a global pandemic might have made things easier for the BCU to continue its fruition but thankfully we’re back on track and as of this week, now with an official trailer for the newest chapter of the BCU starring Pevita Pearce in the long-awaited follow-up, Sri Asih.
The trailblazing superhero property was first birthed in 1954 from creator R.A. Kosasih for Melodie Publishers, Bandung. The new film adaptation hails from Screenplay Bumilangit, and comes from writer/director Upi Avianto (a.k.a. Upi), with Anwar co-penning the script. The film also stars Christine Hakim, Jefri Nichol, and Surya Saputra, and while an official logline remains absent, the trailer above does bring clarity with English subs to lend context just as the teaser did in July.
Sri Asih opens in Indonesia on October 6!
