Ben Affleck To Resume Work On Prohibition-Era Flick, LIVE BY NIGHT For Tentative 2016 Date
Boston, 1926. The ’20s are roaring. Liquor is flowing, bullets are flying, and one man sets out to make his mark on the world.
TO THE HASHI: What The Hell Was So Wrong With Man of Steel?!
Their fight scene and Jor-el’s death were charged with drama, despite happening within the opening minutes of the movie. It was Cain and Abel battling over ideals. One noble and optimistic, the other self-righteous and admittedly cruel. We are familiar with the underlying archetype presented, and note that the ethos of it is faithful to the spirit of DC comics’ universal distinction; while Marvel comics, and likewise their films, draw from everyman drama, DC is different in that their characters are drawn from a pool of grand and operatic archetypical structures. So the exchange between Jor-el and Zod is built on this definitive foundation.
Ben Affleck In Talks To Play A Mild-Mannered Killer In THE ACCOUNTANT
If this film turns out to be better than expected, there’s no way I’m passing this up.
The Batmobile Gets A Fresh Face In A New Photo From The Set Of BATMAN V SUPERMAN: THE DAWN OF JUSTICE
The Batmobile has evolved immensely over the years between many designs since its hey day as a live-action concept built from a Lincoln Futura. Well, it is 2014, and evolution has far from fallen short of expectations since director Zack Snyder has taken the reigns to bring DC Comics to the big screen with the forthcoming release of Batman V. Superman: The Dawn Of Justice.
The fanfare behind this movie is immense, even long after the hate from nitpickers of the interwebs moaning over the idea of Ben Affleck playing the title role as the Dark Knight himself for this go-around. Pics are now going viral like hotcakes all over social media, with Instagram users sharing pics of their own from the set, most recently being that of the brand new Batmobile design for the new film which also stars Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman.
To note, many of these pictures are being removed from their original posts, possibly at the request of the studio. That said, the only official photos seem to be streaming mainly from Snyder‘s Twitter account. As such, the director revealed a fresh new picture of Batman’s new vehicle, and it is looking real healthy!

Anything mostly from here on out is a step forward in the right direction. Snyder is taking two years to get this right ahead of the film’s release on March 25, 2016, tying into its next three, Justice League, Man Of Steel 2 and a standalone Wonder Woman film, and with Snyder confirmed to direct Justice League, so far, I’m hard pressed to complain. Man Of Steel was a big success aside from some of its criticisms, and with the DC Cinematic Universe still in its younger years, there’s plenty of potential here.
Now if we can only get Supergirl her own movie too. It happened once!
Batman Co-Creator Bob Kane To Get A Posthumous Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame
It’s an era of superhero movies and a better time than any to honor their creators. As such, the name of late comic book author and co-creator Bob Kane comes to mind when one ponders just who will get a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. That recent decision came with a new announcement from Maureen Schultz, Chairwoman of the Walk of Fame selection committee for 2014-2015, according to a new report from Comicbook.com
Together with undercredited writer Bill Finger and inker Jerry Robinson, Kane helped manifest one of the most celebrated superheroes in comic book and entertainment history, all right from of their platform at Detective Comics starting in 1939. At least nine actors have brought the iconic crimefighter to life through live action film and television, animation and video games, in addition to countless others paying their own tribute to the role in numerous independently made online projects in recent years. And in light of a new Warner exhibit along with actor Ben Affleck’s current gig as the Dark Knight himself in Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Justice League, and a currently-rumored standalone Batman movie in 2016, 2017 and 2019, respectively, it would only make sense to honor Kane‘s memory in such a way at this point.
Kane was 83 when he passed away back in 1998, so this is long deserved and a great way to solidify his legacy.
