Deadline reports that actor Lucas Black is now being officially announced as having boarded the pack of action-branded cast members lighting the way for the current production of Fast And Furious 7, in addition to the eighth and ninth film to follow. This probably comes as no surprise to some people who may have been expecting to see the 42 and Legion actor reprise his role from the 2006 film, The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift. Variety reports that actor Djimon Honsou will be starring in Fast And Furious 7. The word comes with simultaneous reports via First Showing that actor Kurt Russell would no longer appear in the film, and instead might be appearing in the next installment of the now-third trilogy of the Fast And Furious franchise. Honsou‘s casting announcement could be in direct-relation to earlier details interpreted by First Showing regarding Universal Pictures’ said casting for a villain to appear in Fast 7, who would be an even worse villain in Fast 8. The production of Fast And Furious 7 has announced two more addition to its main cast this week. Deadline and Times Of India have each confirmed that Game Of Thrones co-star Nathalie Emmanuel and Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone have acquired roles in the upcoming seventh installment of the highly successful film franchise. While most or all details are currently being kept under wraps regarding their roles in Fast And Furious 7, it is particularly said that Emmanuel‘s role will be portrayed alongside those of returning leads Riddick star Vin Diesel and actor Paul Walker. As if director James Wan’s upcoming action thriller, Fast And Furious 7 wasn’t already blowing minds with one update after another, Variety is now reporting that actor Kurt Russell is now lining up for a role. On Wednesday, the page unveiled its newest poster for actor, co-star and rising action performer Marrese Crump, who’s been busy making headlines of his own with the development of his next film, Formless. Actress Michelle Rodriguez annouced in earlier this month that she hopes to retire from acting to begin pursuing a new career in screenwriting. However, it is not likely this will soon happen until after the filming of the upcoming Fast And Furious 7. With Universal Pictures fasttracking the production of the seventh installment of Fast And Furious, we now have a release date set for next summer for July 11, 2014 according to a new report from Deadline on Tuesday. Earlier reports have confirmed Fast And Furious 7 will be directed by James Wan, who will be replacing director Justin Lin, who has been with the franchise since directing The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift. Universal Pictures is stopping at nothing to fast-track the production of Fast And Furious 7 as we are a little over a month away from seeing actors Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson reunite with its ensemble cast in the May 24 release of Fast And Furious 6. As a result, director Justin Lin, who has been with the series since the franchise’s third installment, The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift, declined to helm the seventh installment, which is currently slated for an April 2014 release. Filmmaker Justin Lin is slowing down and putting the breaks on directing the upcoming seventh installment of the Fast And Furious film franchise. According to several reports, the filmmaker whose films have grossed over a billion dollars, including the colossal success of the previous three Fast And Furious films he directed, is stepping back from the director’s chair on Fast And Furious 7, citing the heavy workload between between films considering Universal wants the next film to start right away. As Universal is currently fishing for a new director, Lin is also attached to a new project for Warner Bros., based on a trilogy of action novels written by author Patrick Lee.
