Steven spent his entire life being the good son, dedicated all his time to the family business, The Long Pig Restaurant, known in the underground world for cannibalistic cuisine. When Steven hears that his father would rather sell the business to a stranger than pass it down to his own son, Steven has no choice but to chop off his head. With his father’s head safely displayed in a cabinet, Steven and his nymphomaniac girlfriend have big plans for The Long Pig. They caputre elite MMA fighters and force them to battle in the restaurant’s new “Pit of Gore” where blood thirsty customers get to watch their meals being tenderized. Steven calls this, “Tendertainment!”
By the good graces of our unknown movie gods, action fans will get to see actress Mayu Kawamoto in director Norio Tsuruta’s forthcoming summer zombie actioner, Z-Zed. And not for nothing either, as Kawamoto also happens to be the real deal: a Kyokushin karate blackbelt, to boot. Such is the reason she now gets to show off her screenfighting chops in director Yokoyama Kazuhiro‘s new flick, High Kick Angels, about a group of high school girls trying to make an indie Bruce Lee/Jackie Chan-style martial arts flick on campus when they suddenly find themselves swarmed by a gang of thugs.
You can now catch some of the action in a brand new clip below, ahead of the film’s domestic June 14 release in Japan. With any luck, we’ll hear some outside distribution news soon enough!
Continuing his latest string of action features with beautiful women front and center is famed Alpha Stunts founding member, action director and filmmaker Koichi Sakamoto with his newest feature action flick, Red X Pink. In addition to being a martial arts drama, Tokusatsu fans will also be happy to see a few familiar faces among the cast, including veteran Kamen Rider cast member, model and actress Yuria Haga, along with actresses Asami Tada, Ayame Misaki and Rina Koike, which should grant a little something for big boys and girls everywhere who are familiar with some of Sakamoto‘s work as of late. However, if you aren’t, then you’re just in time to check out a brand new full trailer ahead of the film’s February 22, 2014 Japan release. And yes, a NSFW warning is in order.
