Lee B. Golden III

In all likelihood, fans of action superstar Jackie Chan will flock to see his latest hard-hitting, car tossing, bullet-riddled action thriller, Police Story 2013, no matter what they hear from critics on whether or not it’s good or bad. I can’t say it enough that as much as it is being hyped as an IMAX 3D feature, that this film needs the exact same treatment abroad. Who’s with me? The film releases domestically in 2D, 3D and IMAX on December 24, 2013. SYNOPSIS: “Police Story 2013″ follows Jackie Chan’s legendary series “Police Story” and this sixth […]

Lee B. Golden III

Halloween may be well over for another year but that hasn’t stopped 17-year veteran dancer and martial arts practioner, actor and independent filmmaker Jordan Cann from putting his best foot forward in crowdfunding his brand new action horror feature film, Vampires Rage. Based on proud inspiration driven from the likes of Wesley Snipes‘s commanding lead performance in the Blade trilogy, Cann looks to take the genre in a slightly different, faith-based direction, with an urbanized story centered around a failing dancer whose life takes a remarkable turn after a fateful crossing of paths with a Vampire who turns him, forcing him to choose between the life that he wants, and the life he may have been meant for. A self-proclaimed action junkie in his own right, Cann hopes to work with some of the biggest names in action cinema someday, which include none other than Snipes, and even Tony Jaa, […]

[UPDATED] FAN ART: Julie Estelle As "Hammer Girl" In THE RAID 2: BERANDAL

Lee B. Golden III

UPDATE – 12/16: It has been confirmed that the artist behind the fan poster is Lloyd Stas. Special thanks to XYZ Films own Simon de Bruyn for the head’s up! Fan art continues to be a driving force for fans and followers of many popular properties such as movies, and director Gareth Evans‘s upcoming urban martial arts thriller epic, The Raid 2: Berandal is no exception, having seen its own fair share of unofficial fan-originated artwork from time to time. A lot of this kind of artwork simply goes viral without mention of its creator, which is kind of unfortunate considering that I would love to credit the person who forwarded this latest bit of art onto the internet to ultimately land in the hands of XYZ Films’s own, producer Nate Bolotin, which you can check out below, emulating actess Julie Estelle as “Hammer Girl” XYZ Films is currently in […]

Watch The Latest IMAX Trailer Promo For POLICE STORY 2013

Lee B. Golden III

Perhaps one of the most notable things about Jackie Chan films as of late is that they aren’t as commercialized in America as they used to be in the late 1990’s when Chan was crossing over. Nowadays it seems his films are now bumped down to limited screens in specific theaters, as was the case with the recently released CZ12. That said, Chan‘s latest return to the big screen with director Ding Sheng for Police Story 2013 is getting an IMAX release at home. Based on the newest trailer, the film looks really gritty, true-to-form and hardcore as one could hope for a cop movie starring Chan as he switches gears just a little bit. I really hope that it gets more commercial and IMAX treatment when it gets picked up overseas, especially considering that IMAX is the biggest seller for this particular film at this point. And for Chan-atics, […]

He signed and apparently unsigned. I’m not sure what went down, I’m not really privi’ed, but yes, it was announced in every newspaper, there are photos of Arnold Schwarzenegger holding up a poster of The […]
