Lee B. Golden III

With five films now under its belt and a sixth (and seventh) along the way, the $1.5 billion dollar Fast And Furious film franchise has become a major domestic and international success for Universal Pictures. It all started in 2001 when director Rob Cohen brought together a dynamic cast of characters featuring Paul Walker, Michelle Rodruguez, Jordana Brewster, Vin Diesel, Chad Lindberg, Matt Schulze and Rick Yune in a compelling story about respect, loyalty and self-discovery in the heat of battle and high speed heists. The first film, The Fast And The Furious set the ultimate stage in the world of illegal street racing, where allegiances are tested, lives are lost. And the only question that remains is how far, and fast undercover cop Brian O’Conner (Walker) is willing to go to ultimately choose between fighting for the woman he loves, Mia, (Brewster) or risk losing her in pursuit of […]

New International Teaser For G.I. JOE: RETALIATION

Lee B. Golden III

Poster source:Screenrant The new international trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been released. Like the previous trailers we have seen, including the French international teaser, the footage is mostly more of the same, but is edited with Korean subtitles. What is interesting to me so far is the distinct possibility that Storm Shadow, played by Byung-hun Lee could be siding with the heroes this time around, after his last appearance in the first film. Other than that, I am open to seeing how the film plays out when it hits theaters on its new release date, March 29, 2013, since the pushback of post-production to include 3D conversion, among other reasons. Synopsis via GIJoeMovie.com:: A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. JOE: RISE OF COBRA, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with HASBRO, commenced the di Bonaventura production of G.I. JOE: RETALIATION. She into such films as Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, Tomb Raider and the Star Wars movies. Other than that, parkour has been her first and foremost her primary profession. I recently had the good fortune of seeing her in a facebook group I’m in dedicated to action films. She posted her video in the group, and being that I run a page dedicated to sharing this kind of stuff, I took the liberty of watching just […]

Review: A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD

Lee B. Golden III

Well, I went and saw Die Hard 5 last night. It isn’t better than Die Hard 4, just a little bigger in size and scope with a lot of explosions and car/truck crashes, but it brings something worth looking forward to when Die Hard 6 comes out. It was larger in scope, taking place in Russia amidst political turmoil and unrest, and holds its own with epic gun battles action scenes to keep viewers interested. To be honest, I missed a good few bits of it toward the end because I was falling asleep. That could be because it was real late at night and my body started shutting down in my seat because of it. But to be even more honest, this is the first time in my history as a filmgoer that I have fallen asleep in front of an action film (missing one or two minutes every […]
