Matt Damon To Be Cast In Zhang Yimou’s THE GREAT WALL
It’s taken a few years to get off the ground, but the latest long-awaited project, The Great Wall, finally found a new director back in March with Going Home and Hero helmer Zhang Yimou left since The Last Samurai director Edward Zwick’s departure. This month now following previous casting efforts, the project is looking to bring Matt Damon on board, according to Deadline.
Damon, recently confirmed to return to the fray as Jason Bourne for a new film with Paul Greengrass, may star in an epic story set in 15th century China about British warriors who come across the titular wall during its construction in lieu of a threat greater than the Mongols. The actor is among those in an accumulating list that tentatively casts Henry Cavill (Man Of Steel), Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) and Zhang Ziyi (The Grandmaster).
Carlo Bernard and Doug Miro are producing the script for Legendary East, a division of Legendary Pictures, in conjunction with China Film Company. Max Brooks conceived the story with Legendary CEO Thomas Tull who is producing with Chuck Roven, Jon Jashni and Alex Gartner, and Peter Loehr and Jillian Share who are executive producing.
Tull’s Legendary Pictures is also behind the releases of Crimson Peak (October 16, 2015), Seventh Son (February 6, 2015), and Jurassic World (June 12, 2015), and the forthcoming productions of Godzilla 2 and Pacific Rim 2.

The Batmobile Gets A Fresh Face In A New Photo From The Set Of BATMAN V SUPERMAN: THE DAWN OF JUSTICE
The Batmobile has evolved immensely over the years between many designs since its hey day as a live-action concept built from a Lincoln Futura. Well, it is 2014, and evolution has far from fallen short of expectations since director Zack Snyder has taken the reigns to bring DC Comics to the big screen with the forthcoming release of Batman V. Superman: The Dawn Of Justice.
The fanfare behind this movie is immense, even long after the hate from nitpickers of the interwebs moaning over the idea of Ben Affleck playing the title role as the Dark Knight himself for this go-around. Pics are now going viral like hotcakes all over social media, with Instagram users sharing pics of their own from the set, most recently being that of the brand new Batmobile design for the new film which also stars Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman.
To note, many of these pictures are being removed from their original posts, possibly at the request of the studio. That said, the only official photos seem to be streaming mainly from Snyder‘s Twitter account. As such, the director revealed a fresh new picture of Batman’s new vehicle, and it is looking real healthy!

Anything mostly from here on out is a step forward in the right direction. Snyder is taking two years to get this right ahead of the film’s release on March 25, 2016, tying into its next three, Justice League, Man Of Steel 2 and a standalone Wonder Woman film, and with Snyder confirmed to direct Justice League, so far, I’m hard pressed to complain. Man Of Steel was a big success aside from some of its criticisms, and with the DC Cinematic Universe still in its younger years, there’s plenty of potential here.
Now if we can only get Supergirl her own movie too. It happened once!
