JIU-JITSU: Nicolas Cage Joins Alain Moussi Martial Arts Thriller

Much has been ado with Alain Moussi and the Kickboxer reboot franchise which still awaits a third entry in Kickboxer: Armageddon. While Liam O’Donnell keeps his titilating concept for The Last Savage on ice, he is reportedly back on deck to pen the script for Skylines, the third and latest entry into the trilogy that launched in 2010 from directors Colin and Greg Strause. The Fyzz Facility is on deck to present its package at EFM and with it, the upcoming action comedy Butterfingers starring Get Him To The Greek and Forgetting Sarah Marshall co-star, actor, activist and comedian Russell Brand. I, Anna and upcoming Scarborough helmer Barnaby Southcombe is directing from a script by Percentages scribe Tom Nash with fully financing by The Fyzz Facility and Highland Film Group representing the film internationally. Nicolas Cage Will Have A SCORE TO SETTLE For Director Shawn Ku

Nicolas Cage is returning to the set soon with the new action thriller, A Score To Settle, according to Variety. The actor, who just made waves this year at Fantasia Festival with horror thriller Mom And Dad, will star under the direction of Beautiful Boy helmer, award-winning director Shawn Ku. Cage will play a convicted mob enforcer battling a terminal illness. He’s released from prison many years after taking the fall for a crime he didn’t commit and sets out on a path for revenge against the people who wronged him. The film will be Ku’s second feature pic and reunite him with Beautiful Boy producers Lee Clay from First Point Entertainment and Eric Gozlan from Goldrush Entertainment. Executive producing are Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier whose Highland Film Group will showcase the film to buyers at Cannes. Fans looking toward Heist helmer director Scott Mann for a follow-up of his 2009 action thriller, The Tournament, may be in for a longer wait. For now though, you can expect to find him around London sometime this Summer or Fall for the upcoming production of his newest hostage thriller, Final Score. The Brothers Lynch – David and Keith, are penning the script which sees a former soldier who must use his skills amid a bustling stadium during a major sporting event to rescue its 35,000 occupants, including the daughter of his fallen comrade, from a squad of heavily armed captors. Highland Film Group is representing the film at the European Film Market in Berlin next week, with Highland’s own Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier executive producing.
