WARHORSE ONE Gets A Sequel Shoot In 2024

A sequel to Warhorse One is in development, according to information shared on social media via actor Johnny Strong and the film’s official fanpage. The film, tentatively titled “Warhorse Two” as illustrated by current prelim artwork online, will reportedly begin production in the new year with a script by Strong who starred in the first film, as well as co-directed with filmmaker William Kaufman (Daylight’s End, The Channel). Plot details are underwraps for the new film in which Strong will be joined on screen once more by young actress Athena Durner. The two will reprise their roles from the first film – previously released by Well Go USA in the summer – which follows Strong’s character, SEAL Team Leader Richard Mirko as he fights to survive behind enemy lines in Afghanistan with the daughter of a murdered family of missionaries in his care. WARHORSE ONE Review: Johnny Strong Stands Off Against The Taliban In The New, Overlong Wartime Survival Thriller

Warhorse One will release select theaters on June 30, followed by On Demand, and digital from July 4 from Well Go USA. At two hours of runtime, writing/directing duo William Kaufman and Johnny Strong journey into the tumultuous end of the war in Afghanistan for one man’s last-minute rescue mission in their latest reunion, Warhorse One. The film also stars Strong who wears additional hats on the project including providing the film’s requisite soundtrack. It also marks their latest reunion since Kaufman solo-directed Strong for 2016’s audience action horror favorite, Daylight’s End, as well as 2010 crime thriller, Sinners And Saints. Firstly broken by IGN, Well Go USA is proudly launching the official trailer for Warhorse One, the new independently-produced Afghan War thriller from directors William Kaufman and lead actor Johnny Strong. The film reteams the duo for a third time in the years since converging on the LA set of 2010 crime thriller, Sinners And Saints, followed by 2016 dystopian zombie actioner, Daylight’s End. After a SEAL team helicopter is downed during a rescue mission in Afghanistan, the lone surviving operator must evade hostile insurgents and navigate rough terrain to guide the one living civilian—a traumatized child—to safety. Warhorse One also stars Athena Durner, Raj Kala, James Sherrill and Siya Rostami. Well Go USA will release the film in select theaters on June 30, followed by On Demand, and digital from July 4.

Indeed, it’s been a busy year and as we make our way into another market season at Cannes, Kaufman’s reunion with actor Johnny Strong (Sinners And Saints, Daylight’s End) who co-directs and also co-wrote the pic with Kaufman, now lends us our first full trailer introducing a hearty sample of what’s to come. If it feels like it’s taken twelve hundred years for Daniel Zirilli’s Invincible to finally see the light of day with a stateside release, then you’re not alone – particularly since it feels that way with a lot of action films. This one blipped on Japan’s radar back in 2020 from Shogun Films and I’m just guessing some of these releases have different cuts and edits to them, so feel free to fish ’em out if you like and see what looks like what. Get Ready For WARHORSE ONE From The Director Of ‘Daylight’s End’ And ‘The Brave’

Director William Kaufman‘s got a bit of an itch that needs scratching. Whatever the case is though, he’s definitely taking his time with it as he continues to tease followers and action fans with bits from his latest, Warhorse One. The film reunites Kaufman with actor Johnny Strong who toplines two of Kaufman’s previous action thriller hits, Sinners And Saints and zombie actioner, Daylight’s End. Kaufman’s knack for shoot ’em ups proved to be an absolute thrill with his most recent cop thriller release, The Brave, and so I’m especially looking to see how this checks out in that regard. And so there we have it. No plot details or casting or production specifics yet and time will tell when he’ll post a trailer to provide some long-awaited relief. Provided Covid-19 doesn’t impede director Daniel Zirilli’s current production deal with Shogun Films anymore than one might predict, the workload may finally add to the current stack of actioners rolling out for the Hollow Point and Acceleration helmer. For this, we turn to Ultimate Soldier – best known in the states as Invincible – which pits actor Johnny Strong against international action star Marko Zaror in a tale of an experimental program involving nanites gone haywire. AMG Entertainment has local dibs in Japan for a release on DVD beginning June 3. Colonel John Taylor enlists billionaire inventor Leor Teska to fund a secret black site, testing Teska’s new nano technology for military applications, developed by scientists. When one of the test subjects, Brock Cortez, escapes, Teska’s head of security, Cam Devore is given the dangerous task of tracking him down. Also starring are Vladmir Kulich, Paul Kennedy and Sally Kirkland.

INVINCIBLE: Peep The Most Recent Poster Art For Daniel Zirilli’s Sci-Fi Action Thriller

It was last week when The Action Elite got the exclusive dibs on the first official poster for Daniel Zirilli’s new action thriller, Invincible. In case you missed it, you can peep it below, headlining actors Johnny Strong and martial arts star, actor Marko Zaror. Hailing from Zirilli’s Popart Film Factory and D3 Telefilm, Invicible sees Strong in the role of Cam Devore, the head of security for a billionaire-backed black site being used to test an inventor’s latest strides in nano-technology. Zaror stars as Brock Cortez, one of the military applicants used for the experiment who Devore is tasked with tracking down when Cortez escapes. Also starring are Vladmir Kulich, Paul Kennedy and Sally Kirkland. D3’s Doug Price is also producing with Zirilli who just recently wrapped Hollow Point with Luke Goss and is setting forth to helm Bad Reputation with Gary Daniels starring.

Chad Law and Farah White on the set of DAYLIGHT’S END I still actually have a ways to go in catching up with certain titles that fell off the radar for me in the last several years. William Kaufman’s small scale 2010 film Sinners And Saints is one of them, especially after managing to snag a few viewings of his 2005 killer thriller, The Prodigy, which absolutely impressed me. Assuredly, I’m not the last one to gush about Kaufman’s work. It’s been quite a journey for director William Kaufman’s latest heralded cult hit, Daylight’s End. Carried by the support of amply positive reviews following the film’s well-earned festival acclaim, Vertical Entertainment has since announced its North American distribution in select theaters on August 26 in association with Dallas-based virtual reality studio Groove Jones for a more immersive viewing experience. Obviousy, that would be something to look forward to and it’s a perfect horror movie feat to present to fans as we approach the Fall season. Right now, any cursory glance over at the official Facebook fan page for the stellar new independent survival action horror, Daylight’s End, will hint you quite a bit about how well this movie has fared in the past year.
