Argentinian actor and martial artist Juan Manuel Olmedo is poised to team up with filmmaker Art Camacho for upcoming action drama, The Immigrant. Argentinian-born Esteban Carbajal is penning the script for this particular venture which has been brewing since around 2013. The Immigrant tells of a kind-hearted transplant from a foreign country arriving to New York City in search of a better life. Things take a downturn when he’s conned out of his money and robbed of his belongings, leaving him with only a few bucks in his pocket. Juan Manuel Olmedo Goes To Prison In The Latest Action Sequel Promo For LEY MORTAL

The momentum is inarguably in favor of Argentinean action hero, actor Juan Manuel Olmedo. The festival circulation and local success of his 2013 action thriller, Justicia Propia, has since paved the way for the development of a sequel now set to go into production very soon following our exclusive report back in May annoncing the title, Ley Mortal (Mortal Law). Furthermore, the addition of Kickboxer co-star, actor Mohamed Qissi has also made things more opportune for Olmedo who himself has been a fan of American and Asian action cinema all his life. Aside from its film festival run overseas in the last few years Argentian 2013 revenge thriller, Justicia Propia currently remains a local success story for its lead action star Juan Manuel Olmedo while plans are evermore hopeful to release the film beyond borders next year. That said, it’s been a while since any and all talk of a sequel began circulating, but that doesn’t mean that nothing is happening. Because there will be plenty happening between August and September. Olmedo has exclusively confirmed via press release with Film Combat Syndicate that Ley Mortal (Mortal Law), the sequel to Justicia Propia from Stunt Fighter Producciones, 3C Films and Lumiere Films, will begin principal photography in the next few months. Being an action fan myself in today’s era, the prominence of Hong Kong cinema and the evolution of the internet, I love that we now get to expand our range of film production markets and see what other studios are coming up with. Coming across the trailer through another mutual friend on Facebook, it was a great opportunity to help introduce another filmmaker to a bigger audience.
