Nobody just kills John Wick and lives to tell about it. To that end, you would think, at least from a preventive viewpoint, that his reputation would span far enough to the resident killers, thugs and elitist psychopaths operating in the criminal underworld at large but… nope. Eventually some ambitious villain will come along and push things further into entropy – a realm lined well with the corpses of underlings so as to reaffirm just how much of a gluttonous, self-important asshole one has to be to witness Wick’s reputation in action the hard way, after the fact. Lionsgate Lionsgate is rolling out all the goods between now and the next few weeks with the nearing release of John Wick: Chapter 2. That includes a new poster, a new featurette, a few new television spots to boot… Well, the featurette is what’s on and poppin’ right now highlighting more behind-the-scenes factoids about the construction of the action, host to speaking segments by actors Keanu Reeves and Common, ans stunt professional Jackson Spidell. February 10 is the date in the U.S. for the film’s release. I’m going, that’s just a fact.

You don’t need me to tell you how ready I am now that we’re less than a month away from the release of director Chad Stathelski’s John Wick: Chapter Two. Why? Because you’re reading this article, in which case, you’re about as ready I am, and that makes you a goddamn winner in my book. Keanu Reeves takes the stage once more in this second chapter centered on the titular stoic hitman in his latest endeavor to intercept the very roots of the criminal underworld he once did away with following the events of the first film. With that in mind, Lionsgate has a new supercut on its chanell with a festive montage of all of the brutality from the 2014 hit movie that started it all. John Wick: Chapter 2 is heading to theaters next year in February and the hype is already in effect – I personally plan to see it with friends while I understand it may pretty much be every man for himself by the time tickets go on sale. At any rate, something always felt more episodic about John Wick knowing there would be a sequel, and I wouldn’t really have been suprised if another followed. Apparently, so it is, says director Chad Stahelski to Collider who brought the issue forward to the solo helmer and prominent industry stunt professional at New York Comic Con over the weekend. “The studio has asked us to put our heads together and see if we can come up with something. Lionsgate 2014 saw the beginning of a new era of action with the release of John Wick, bringing on a career revival of sorts for lead actor Keanu Reeves who may very well be onto a new blockbuster franchise following the Matrix trilogy more than a decade ago. And to think now, his ceremonial re-emergence in the action genre comes equipped with much of the team behind Reeves’s action film performance since then, led by none other than second unit directors and stunt coordinators Chad Stahelski and David Leitch who led the way with the first film and have since succeeded on their own directing endeavors.
