THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Teaser Trailer Rocks Out Marvel’s Latest Epic Heroics

A lot of times it’s easy to forget these movies exist. I was at the doctor’s just coming out of an appointment when the first teaser arose for Thor: Love And Thunder, which was a pleasant suprise. The saga continues once again with Chris Hemsworth back in the title role and as we see in the footage above, back in his signature, trimmed-down form after a few chain workouts and such, and reunited with Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill and his ragtag Guardians – interestingly minus Zoe Saldaña’s Gamora. It’s been awhile since we’ve heard from filmmaker Robin Schmidt who’s stirred things up a bit in the festivals with his most recent award-winning action short, Dog. Despite a few postponed screenings in the past month or so in the wake of recent events, director Gavin O’Connor’s gritty new western, Jane Got A Gun, the film is still on deck for release next year with the U.S. pinned for a January 29 opening. You would think that a film like Gavin O’Connor‘s latest, Jane Got A Gun would have an easier time getting a foothold. Alas, it took three years to start with were it not for director Lynne Ramsay totally bailing on the film altogether at the last minute, along with the revolving door turning of added cast. Thankfully what we now have is a finished product, and what better way to deliver it other than with acclaimed actress Natalie Portman front and center? This, coupled with O’Connor reuniting with his Warrior co-lead, actor Joel Edgerton and actors Ewan McGregor and Noah Emmerich rounding out the cast, and what we get is… well, another reason why 2015 has been an otherwise great year for Westerns.
