ZEROING-IN: An Interview With Actor And Filmmaker Eliver Ling

Having managed to resurface in time among friendly faces attending the 6th annual Urban Action Showcase and Expo back in early November, I had the honor and privilege of meeting and greeting up-and-coming actor and filmmaker Eliver Ling. It’s also worth stating that his latest directing gig also happens to be one by chance as the once R.L. Scott-helmed proof-of-concept pilot, Option Zero, was shot and then abruptly left in Ling’s hands. I did perecive this as something peculiar, though it’s worth noting after the release of crime thriller Call Me King, Scott was already neck deep in ideas for launching a superhero production foray of his own. Filmmaker R.L. Scott hasn’t missed a step when it comes to action, and his latest offering with the new action pilot project, Option Zero, is no exception. Currently aimed as a series since its production last year with a strong cast of notable action favorites, we finally have a trailer now making the rounds which you may now view below, and having sampled a taste of the action for myself, I can assure that this won’t be something to miss when it completes post production. Director R.L. Scott is gearing up for his pilot release next year with his newest venture, Option Zero, and this week, here to whet the appetite, the director has just unveiled a batch of official stills from the upcoming action series. Of course, with the pilot still being in post production, footage is otherwise still pending with a full season in the works, and for what it’s worth, the project looks to be another noteworthy dish of eye candy for fans of action. Written and executive produced by co-star Eliver Ling (Deadliest Warrior) who plays “Connor”, the pilot episode for Option Zero will launch next year, showcasing a story centered on an elite special ops team on a mission to infiltrate and take out a high-ranking officials of the Russian mob. Director R.L. Scott Announces Special Ops Series Pilot, OPTION ZERO

Filmmaker R.L. Scott is proudly announcing his latest shortfilm, one in a handful of projects currently in development for his indie platform, Shadow Motion Pictures. Newly wrapping just this week after a two-month shooting schedule, post-production is officially underway for Option Zero, a half-hour pilot for a hopeful action packed series surrounding a special ops team tasked with taking down high-ranking members of the Russian mob. Actor Adolfo “Shabba Doo” Quinones (Breakin, Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo) plays the special ops team leader in charge of the mission. Also joining are actors Chris Conrad (Criminal Minds), Christian Howard (Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, Green Street 3) and Eliver Ling (Deadliest Warrior), and actress Amy Johnston (Raze). Scott is producing the pilot with a script by Ling who is also executive producing, with Alfred Hsing (Dragon Blade) serving as the pilot’s action coordinator.
