It’s taken a bit of time for this movie to happen considering stunt professionals Darrin Prescott and Wade Allen were once tapped to helm Live! in its previous version years ago.
It’s been a few years since news of this film stirred about but word out of Toronto has it that Escape Plan 2: Hades helmer Steven C. Miller’s Line Of Duty is setting up a November release from Saban Films.
Steven C. Miller directs with a cast that rounds out with Jamie King, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Jesse Metcalf, Huang Xiaoming and Wes Chatham for a On Digital, VOD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on June 29, 2018. IGN unveiled the official trailer which you can view below.
Marauders and Extraction helmer Steven C. Miller will go before cameras in Alabama next month to helm The Solution Group’s action thriller, Live!. Borys Kit’s exclusive at The Hollywood Reporter confirms the news which sees Miller replacing award winning second unit action directors/stunt coordinators Darrin Prescott and Wade Allen for what would have been their directorial debut.
Eckhart retains his involvement on the film since 2015, starring now alongside Mad Max: Fury Road co-star Courtney Eaton for the story of Kyle Penny, a disgraced cop with only eighty minutes to live while in search of the police commisioner’s after daughter trapped somewhere in the city. With her abductor dead and a serial killer on his tale, his only hope lies with a young, ambitious reporter who wishes to film his chase with a live camera streaming in real-time for the world to see.
Jeremy Drysdale penned the script. Myles Nestel, Craig Chapman, and Skip Williamson are producing with Martin Sprock, Chris Tuffin and Renee Tab. Adam Goldworm is among the executive producers listing Phil Hunt, Ryan R. Johnson, Compton Ross and Tiffany Stone.
Miller’s next release will be the long-awaited Escape Plan 2: Hades, which currently awaits a date.
Anyone here who’s missed actor Hayden Christensen (Jumper, Outcast) will have something much more grounded in store. His latest, First Kill, from Extraction and Marauders helmer Steven C. Miller is set to release in limited theaters and on digital on July 21 with actor Bruce Willis helping lead the way for a low-key tale of intrigue and danger which sees a father joined by the police to search for his kidnapped son.
In order to reconnect with his son Danny (Ty Shelton), big shot Wall Street broker Will (Hayden Christensen) takes his family on a hunting trip to the cabin where he grew up. While out hunting with Danny, the trip takes a deadly turn when they stumble upon several robbers and witness the murder of one of the criminals.
After becoming entangled in a bank heist gone bad that results in the kidnapping of Danny, Will is forced to help the kidnappers evade the police chief (Bruce Willis) and recover the stolen loot in exchange for his son’s life.

The baffling nature behind actor Sylvester Stallone’s departure from franchises like Rambo and The Expendables is still something of a mystery. In the meantime, it’s become clearer and clearer that he’s ready to devote his time to the current potential now thriving in the upcoming sequel to Mikael Hafstrom’s Escape Plan which currently has Extraction helmer Steven C. Miller directing.
Thus, follow Stallone on social media enough and you might be keen on any number of update which have so far included a teeny bit of teaser footage from the movie featuring Stallone and actor Dave Bautista, as well as shots at a robot like fixture on the set emulating what appears to be some form of A.I.. Actress Jamie Bell and reprising actor Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson also star in the film as do The Philly Kid star Wes Chatham and Ip Man 2 co-star Huang Xiaoming for its forthcoming release with a script by Miles Chapman.
The film will likely bow next year as it wraps this week and on that note, Deadline now has it on good terms that a third is already being planned – something that Stallone hinted at once or twice in previous weeks. E/F/O Films and Leomus are backing the film with Miller directing and Chapman scripting. Producing are Randall Emmett, George Furla, Mark Canton and Zack Schiller with Ted Fox, Mark Stewart, Barry Brooker, and Stan Wertlieb executive producing.
Lionsgate Premiere will present the sequel in the U.S. as it will for number three with Leomus Pictures co-producing and distributing in China, thus granting Stallone an otherwise new property to thrive on, Expendable or not.

Principal photography commenced in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday this week for the new sequel, Escape Plan 2 which currently has actor Sylvester Stallone reprising his role from the 2014 hit movie from director Mikael Hafstrom. Extraction and Marauders helmer Steven C. Miller is directing from a script by Miles Chapman and while plot details remain pending, casting did make other confirmations in the previous week in which Dave Bautista was also confirmed.
For this, we have news from Deadline as of several days ago that actor Wes Chatham has been cast in the film as well with an undisclosed role. Chatham’s recent credits include recently renewed SyFy series, The Expanse, and films such as Jason Connery’s hard-hitting MMA action drama, The Philly Kid, Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s Western thriller, The Town That Dreaded Sundown, and Lionsgate’s two-part Mockingjay finale of The Hunger Games. Also starring are actress Jamie King and Escape Plan co-star Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, following Bautista’s addition.
Emmett/Furla/Oasis is co-producing with China’s Leomus Pictures. Executive producing are Ted Fox, Mark Stewart, Barry Brooker and Stan Wertlieb with the Fyzz Facility’s own Wayne Marc Godfrey and Robert Jones.

Miles Chapman, who wrote the first film is returning to script the second installment which will be co-produced and co-financed between Emmett/Furla/Oasis and Beijing-based Leomus Pictures.
Plot details are unclear as is the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger pending talks to reprise his role next to Stallone as seen in the 2013 hit film directed by Mikael Håfström. Randall Emmett and George Furla are producing with Leomus CEO Jie Qiu and Mark Canton, Zack Schiller and Robbie Brenner. Executive producing are Ted Fox, Mark Stewart, Barry Brooker and Stan Wertlieb with The Fyzz Facility’s Wayne Marc Godfrey and Robert Jones.
Miller himself has become a credited director with titles such as Bruce Willis headliners, Extraction and Marauders, and Nicolas Cage/John Cusack thriller, Arsenal, noted for his ability to bring high production value on low budgets and short schedules. Schwarzenegger and Lionsgate just rolled out their latest trailer for upcoming revenge drama, Aftermath, which opens in April.

Actor Bruce Willis is on a pretty good streak lately. Prolifically he’s up for the lead role in Eli Roth’s forthcoming Death Wish remake while staying afloat with a slew of action films from E/F/O Films with director Steven C. Miller (Extraction, Marauders).
This week, the streak continues with both star and director rejoining once more for the new thriller First Kill. Filming begins next month with a script by Nick Gordon which sees Willis as a police chief in a race against time when a thug shoots a bankrobber who takes a young boy hostage as incentive to acquire a missing key to his loot following a fumbled heist.
E/F/O’s own Randal Emmett George Furla will produce the film next to executive producers Trevor Matthews of Brookstreet Pictures, Barry Brooker and Stan Wertlieb, and co-producers Tim Sullivan, Tony Callie, Ryan Black, and Nick Gordon.

Philidelphia will set the stage for director Steven C. Miller’s new action flick, Philly Fury. Deadline reported this week the film will commence in May with a script by Jason Mosberg which pits a businessman against a local crimeboss when his deadbeat brother gets kidnapped and held for ransom.
Nicolas Cage is the first to be cast for the film which Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films is producing, as well as releasing through their earlier distribution deal with Lionsgate. Miller previously helmed Extraction which featured Kellan Lutz, Bruce Willis and Gina Carano for its 2015 release, and is currently in post production with heist thriller, Marauders, also with Willis and starring Christopher Meloni and Dave Bautista.
Cage joins actor Elijah Wood in the new crime dramedy, The Trust, on May 13.
