Next week on August 20 will be the official Blu-Ray due date for Jonathan Li’s Max Zhang/Shawn Yue-led crime thriller, The Brink. The film is also coming exclusively to Hi-YAH! later this year while you can now win yourselves one of three blu-ray copies of the film for your own keeping.
Well Go USA is proudly ramping up its power-packed HiYAH! channel with the long-awaited release of director Jonathon Li’s crime thriller, The Brink. The Texas-based firm is still rolling the film out on Blu-Ray beginning August 20 while folks keen on a more spectacular all-you-can-eat buffet of action cinema of the Asian variety will proudly be the first among North America’s streaming demo to watch.
Time to end the week on a high note with some hotly-anticipated titles and I guess we’re bringing our focus in on action star Max Zhang to bookend things some!
For now though, it’s Jonathan Li’s latest directotial debut that has taken shape with the anticipated theatrical release of The Brink, headlining Zhang and fellow star Shawn Yue in the story of a daring cop on a relentless mission to bring down a high seas gold smuggling operation. Wu Yue and Kurata Yasuaki and actresses Janice Man and Cecilia So also star for the film’s release on November 10 and with that, we have the newest trailer making the rounds and asserting in us a certifiable reminder that Zhang isn’t leaving us anytime soon no matter what color his hair is.
Debut director Jonathan Li’s upcoming action crime thriller, , is looking better and better since March. A new teaser as well as a brand new official trailer have arrived hailing the return of actor Max Zhang to the lens in one of several films coming down the pipeline.
It’s been quite a minute since we last heard from anything on debut helmer Jonathan Li’s heist thriller, The Brink. Alas, nearly a year after its backing by Chinese online streaming service, iQIYI and with the fervor having made headway at HK Filmart, Bravos Pictures finally announced the film with artwork and a teaser trailer to help get things going.
The film centers on a reckless police inspector bent on bringing a major gold smuggling scheme to its end, bookended with its own infighting and greed between its ringleader and a triad boss. The film is one of several titles featuring lead actor Max Zhang who is also poised for upcoming actioner, Made In Kowloon, as well as an Ip Man spin-off that would branch his character from the first film of said franchise in which Michelle Yeoh and Dave Bautista would be joining.
The Brink also casts Yue Wu, Gordan Lam Ka-tung and Janice Man and is produced by Paco Wong and Wilson Yip. Lest you be of the Thalassophobic kind, it’s probably best you avoid the new teaser trailer below. Otherwise, check it out!
