The New International Trailer For Kick-Ass 2 Is Online
The Jeff Wadlow-directed Kick-Ass 2 is set to hit theaters on August 16, 2013 courtesy of Universal Pictures. On that note, we now have a brand new, action packer trailer that made its way around the web this week, featuring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloƫ Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Jim Carrey. Donald Faison, John Leguizamo, Olga Kurkulina, Morris Chestnut and Tom Knight round out the cast.
The film, which Wadlow deems as his “anti-Avengers” movie, picks up a while after where the first one left off, with our heroes, Kick-Ass and Hit Girl doing what they do best, and building a heroic crimefighting following in the process until the vengeance-driven Red Mist is reborn as The Motherf*****r, with every intent of becoming Kick Ass’s greatest archvillain yet with a league of his own, The Toxic Megac***s.
The sequel comes off the success of the first film, Kick-Ass, released in 2010 and earning close to $96M during its domestic and international theatrical run. But don’t lag on it though, as the nature of how some R-rated action films are doing these days could very well define how Kick-Ass 2 performs. Consequently, this may also decide the possible fate of the R-Rated hopeful production of Deadpool. So in other words, you may not want to ignore paying a ticket for Kick Ass 2.
