This Hobbs/Shaw FAST Spin-Off Hype Teaser Is All That Matters

Stating flatly for the record, I don’t give a single, fresh dump of cowshit about siding with anyone regarding the overprivileged douchecanoe beefery that has stemmed from Dwayne Johnson’s infamous Instagram post last August. I only care about one thing, and it’s the thriving franchise at Universal Pictures that is Fast And Furious and its future potential regarding spin-offs, and I’ve been more than pleased with the news about Johnson’s planned spin-off with franchise co-star and famed action hero Jason Staham with respect to the intial Fast saga from here on.
That said, Johnson’s latest Instagram teaser was a nice little gem to see apart from most of his caption reaffirming the spin-off for a 2019 release as reported last week. I especially appreciate the portion where Johnson states “I want to use my spinoff platform to create new characters that fans will ultimately love to have fun with in multiple chapters and platforms. Film, TV, Digital, Virtual Reality etc.. the more opportunities we can create the better for the fans. Smart business.”. My thoughts exactly, and it’s not like the Fast franchise doesn’t have its audience, so frankly I think anyone among the cast trying to stir the pot with the off-set riffraff and friction here seriously needs to shut several fucks up, enjoy their successes and let us enjoy the camaraderie we’ve witnessed over the years.
I’ve enjoyed the hell out of this franchise and I’d be more thrilled to see what comes of it in the months ahead. Johnson has all but made a huge name for himself in his own right and the Fast franchise has everything to benefit from it, even if a few actors choose to be up their own asses instead. So let’s just keep this about the movies. I’m ready for 2019 and 2020. Who wants some?
