Heavily into a screenwriting career with a few laurels to his credit, award-winning screenwriter Chun Shun-Il has done well for himself and particularly since his most recent penned offering with last year’s Joseon-era high-seas adventure, The Pirates became one of last year’s box-office hits.
Set in 1953, during the Korean War, a middle-aged South Korea soldier and a teenage North Korean soldier meet by chance at the Western Front. They struggle over a tank for different purposes and destinations, but eventually come to realize they are both victims of the war and become close like brothers.
