Actor Hugh Jackman’s final stint as Marvel’s X-Men character, Wolverine, sees its final bow on the big screen on March 3, 2017. The film wrapped in late August and to much continued fan fervor over the film’s ambitious R-rated treatment by director James Mangold who helmed the 2013 hit, “The Wolverine”, further succeeding Jackman’s portrayal of the clawed superhero in the 20th Century Fox’s X-Men franchise.
Thus, with David James Kelley providing the script, Jackman and Mangold are out and reassuring fans that the new film will present a much more different tone than of those before. And they’re doing so as of Wednesday with tweets revealing the official title via teaser poster sighting, and a peculiar photo teasing some of the film’s gruesome, brutal and violent action to come.
Logan, as it is, also sees the return of actor Patrick Stewart, along with actor Eriq La Salle, and actresses Elise Neal and Elizabeth Rodriguez. Actors Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant and Stephen Merchant round out the cast.
