WILDMAN: Newly Nabbed Spec Script Billed As ‘John Wick’ But With A WHAT???
A speculative script by Jacob Rainer has been acquired by Thunder Road genre shingle Badlands, according to an exclusive this week from THR’s Borys Kit. The concept, titled Wildman, is being described as “John Wick but with a Bigfoot,” and was picked out of a raft of screenplays that were entered into the screenplay contest “Blood And Ink,” whose Carson Reeves picked out the screenplay as one that caught his attention.
When his little brother is killed by hunters, Bigfoot goes on a quest to retrieve the body while killing everyone responsible along the way.
Thunder Road is the same label behind the John Wick films, so the spec tagline makes even more sense here. At this point, I have no doubt that this will pick up some steam at some point, as it should.
