Filmmaker Andrew Lau is back in the limelight with a brand new trailer this week for folks keen on Chinese propaganda filmlore. Thus, we have the July 28 release of The Founding Of An Army, the last of a trilogy that largely chronicles Mao Zedong’s rise to power early in the last century.
Actor Liu Ye (Curse Of The Golden Flower, Cock & Bull) reprises said role of the PRC chairman that also casts Zhu Yawen, Ou Oho, Wang Jingchun and Wallace Huo among the cast. Watch the trailer below.
