'Doom' Arrives In The New Trailer For FANTASTIC FOUR
It’s been a big, fan-heavy week between all things Star Wars and DC, so it was probably a better idea for Twentieth Century Fox to wait until Sunday to release a fresh new trailer for the upcoming Marvel franchise reboot, Fantastic Four. An alternative take on its two-film predecessor by director Tim Story, Josh Trank is at the helm for this one, and with a few teasers and stills having already granted fans a small look and despite some earlier criticisms, the reaction to this one is a lot better than expected. Of course, a merge with other franchise feels unlikely at this point unless we hear different soon enough, so this feels pretty good for now, as it certainly shows Trank’s ability to take a pre-existing property like this to the next level.
FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

Looks a little more like a standard superhero movie and I’m not feeling the cgi.
