VALLEY OF THE GODS: Well Go USA Snags Josh Harnett/John Malkovich Fantasy Drama For August Release

Well Go USA has acquired Valley Of The Gods (Dolina Bogòw), the 2019 fantasy drama epic from acclaimed Polish-American filmmaker Lech Majewski. The Josh Harnett/John Malkovich ensemble feature will have a physical and digital release on August 11, 2020, and also stars Bérénice Marlohe (Skyfall), Keir Dullea (2001: A Space Odyssey) and John Rhys-Davies (Lord of the Rings trilogy). Per the company’s announcement, Valley Of The Gods “contrasts opposing social extremes—namely abundance and poverty––through three separate storylines, which revolve around a middle-class writer, an eccentric trillionaire and members of a struggling nearby Navajo community. APPLE-MAN: One Man To Defeat Them All In Vasyl Moskalenko’s Conceptual Shortfilm Trailer

In an era of progress stifled by an overwhelming viral pandemic, Ukrainian filmmaker Vasyl Moskalenko was able to find his own creative avenue. He’s filmed a new superhero shortfilm in Apple-Man, shot entirely in his own 150 square foot bedroom with a two-man crew, a VO actor and a budget of just one dollar. And that’s pretty much the gist of it. With the Coronavirus leaving movie theaters unoccupied and consumers quarantined at home, cult film brand Spamflix officially launched its own mobile and smart TV-compatible VOD platform app on Tuesday. Spamflix originally launched in 2018 by Locarno Film Fest project manager Markus Duffner, and former film fest producer at São Paulo, Julia Duarte. The banner grew immense popularity from coverage by sites like Forbes and Geek Spin, dubbed by the latter as “Netflix for cult film fans”. Considering it’s been close to a decade since the start of it’s evolution, “challenging” might be understating things a bit. The storytelling process usually teeters on the more formulaic end of these types of films, and that goes to the director’s ability to tell a story; the sweeping epic saga in all the shows and spin-offs that culminate AMC’s The Walking Dead universe, and even films like I Am Legend, World War Z or Train To Busan all have their frills and plusses on certain ends. Neither of these have anything to do with with actor Tom Cruise going into space for his latest project now said to be in development according to Mike Fleming Jr. at Deadline on Monday. The project is said to be an action thriller with the involvement of NASA, and Elon Musk’s Hawthorne-based Space X program. Joe Russo Seals Scripting Deal For EXTRACTION 2, Hemsworth And Hargrave Expected To Return

A new report at Deadline revealed on Monday that producer and director Joe Russo has locked a deal to pen the script for Extraction 2 for Netflix. The first film launched on the streamer on April 24, signaling a reunion for Joe and brother Anthony Russo, producing out of their AGBO banner, with industry stunt coordinator Sam Hargrave making his feature debut, and Chris Hemsworth starring and producing.
