A new international sales trailer is now online for the upcoming 2D and 3D release of The Four 2 from Enlight Pictures. The new trailer comes as the third pitch for Mandarin language fantasy period action thriller from writer, producer and director Gordon Chan and co-director Janet Chun, following the commercial success of the first film, with a third already planned for production. Based on a series of novels by Malaysian author Wen Ruian, The Four 2 off sets a new chapter in the about four unique detectives who use their skills to solve unsolvable crimes and apprehend powerful criminals. Scott is also working to move on his latest project titled The Smuggler from DorMar Pictures. Adhering to a hybrid of combined classic aesthetic elements from the works of Stanley Kubric’s A Clockwork Orange, and Greaser subculture depicted in Francis Ford Copolla’s The Outsiders, the amazing folks over at martial arts performance team Kung Fu Heroes out together their first cinematic attempt at fight choreography on a little homage they put together during the summer paying tribute to the cult classic 1979 thriller, The Warriors. Considering the cult following director Walter Hill has earned from the film’s success, it is no wonder that up until director Tony Scott’s passing last year that fans were looking forward to what he may have had in store for a possible remake. Monday saw the viral unveiling of a new poster for actor Chris Pine‘s upcoming turn at the theatrical take of a classic Tom Clancy character in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. Late October reports announced the film’s push back from its original Christmas Eve release to January 17, 2014 courtesy of Paramount Pictures, and although there is still no official synopsis as of yet, it is said that the story takes place in the lead character’s earlier days as a CIA analyst who is sent into the field to uncover a Russian plot to crash the U.S. economy with a terrorist attack. Divergent Life has released the newest character poster for the upcoming release director Neil Burger‘s post apocalyptic sci-fi action adventure, Divergent. The poster below features actress Maggie Q in the role of Tori, a member of Dauntless-one of the four factions presented in the film’s premise, based on the series of novels from acclaimed author Veronica Roth. It’s probably the best Steven Seagal movie that never saw the light of day with a mock trailer fron 2011 meant only as a standalone piece. However, based on the YouTube comments and the overall loyal fanfare surrounding actor Steven Seagal, it appears people are willing to pay whatever amount of money to actually see this movie. Seriously. Well, you have to hand it to Seagal, one of Hollywood’s biggest milestone action stars as he’s since reverted to B-list films for sometime now. In this day and age, even things as silly as a Cockpuncher movie still seems possible. No, it probably won’t happen for the actor whose next appearance will be in director Keoni Waxman’s crime thriller, Force Of Execution. But I suppose if you’re a hardcore fan, one can only hope. And that’s it.

LBP Stunts Echoes 'Jack Reacher' In The New Short, RETROACTION

The crew over at LBP Stunts Chicago brought their latest experimental action short to online audiences in the form of Retroaction. Stylistically, the choreography is simulated to reflect the same grit and tone of the techniques envisioned by stunt coordinators Paul Jennings and Robert Alonzo in director Christopher McQuarrie’s 2012 thriller, Jack Reacher. Nothing has changed in the cinematography, as all the usual maneuvers are still in place, with great shots and angles to capture the action, masterfully performed by Shawn Bernal, opposite Nicholas Foreman, performer and fight choreographer Alex Hashioka, and actors Greg Poljacik and Nate Hitpas. Retroaction is but one of a few more shortfilm projects headed our way by the film’s lead director, action director and lensman, Emmanuel Manzanares.
