I’ll be sure to post my own opinions on the most recent 007 film, Spectre, at another time. Meanwhile, Eon Productions is looking forward to another installment and when we last heard on the matter from the franchise’s current star, Daniel Craig, his participation was noted as somewhat negotiable and maybe even missing the role in its absence, his prior sentiments notwithstanding – slit wrists and such. At any rate, it’s been reported in a piece over at Daily Mail, forwarded by Variety, that the new film may hopefully have its writers aboard in Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. INTO THE BADLANDS: Re-Live All Of The Action From The First Season!

AMC Having suffered the lack of access to AMC in the years prior, it was only until its arrival on Netflix this month that I was able to catch all six episodes of the hit series, Into The Badlands from creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. This comes in lieu of a second season which premieres on March 19 and I can honestly say that I really enjoyed what this show has to offer. Granted, TV shows can be a bit challenging too with some stretching as far as ten or twelve one-hour episodes. Sure that means more content but you still run risk of being repetitive and mundane which, gladly, Into The Badlands avoids at just six episodes for its first season, keeping things fresh and moving and ever-developing and evolving. Director Joe Wright’s 2011 espionage thriller, Hanna, starring Saoirse Ronan and Cate Blanchett, didn’t exactly perform superb at the box office but did manage to break even with its budget through international ticket sales. Measurably it was an entertaining feat about a young girl, the daughter of a former government official, trained in hiding as an assassin from early on to face swarms of government operatives and rogues whilst discovering the world she’s never seen. I personally wouldn’t have protested a sequel and it’s unlikely that it will be getting one. We don’t have much to go by with the first official teaser for the new Jackie Chan action starrer, Bleeding Steel. The footage does, though, get a few points with some albeit fancy VFX to accomodate the brief appearance of our main actor atop the Sydney Opera House along with another performer in a likely fight scene that’s been teased once or twice in Australian news media. The film marks Leo Zhang’s second movie and one that may prove much more prolific as well with Chan in the role of a hardened special forces agent on the run from a sinister criminal gang, protecting a young woman with whom he feels a certain connection.
