Go Ohara's AN ASSASSIN Gets A US Home Release Date
Far East Films is reporting that the 2011 action-noir crime drama, An Assassin, has been picked up for distribution and is set for release on May 21, 2013, courtesy of Asian Media Rights. The film was written by Kubata Hiroyasu and director Go Ohara whose previous credits include Geisha vs. Ninja, Chanbara Beauty, Oneechanbara: The Movie – Vortex, Samurai Princesd and Death Trance.
Starring Ryoma Baba, Sayuri Iwata, Yuki Kubota and Hassei Takano, the film is a story about a young man named Ryo who abandons his life as a cold and heartless assassin after an accident during an accident. As time passes, he tries to accustom himself to a new life upon meeting a high school girl named Rio, who he finds himself protecting when, by a twist of fate, she herself becomes an assassin’s target.
