Hey New York City! ART HOUSE ACTION Lights Up The Stage With Stunts, Music And Thrills at The Slipper Room This Month!
Code 10-10 Productions is taking the stage over at The Slipper Room in New York City for Art House Action on May 25. Billed as “an evening where action cinema meets elegance,” the one-night event aims to celebrate the artistry, innovation, and sheer audacity of the East Coast stunt community, featuring an immersive and intersectional line-up of dance, stunts and circus performances, along with the screening of Glory Days, a new shortfilm from directors Nick Meese and Karl Gunner Anderson.
Art House Action shines a spotlight on stunt professionals as more than performers. It celebrates them as filmmakers, storytellers, choreographers, and creative visionaries whose work continues to shape independent film and action cinema.
Code 10-10 Productions makes its return to the 167 Orchard St. venue with Art House Action nearly a year since screening their first narrative shortfilm, Let It Snow, which is currently circulating festivals. The team gained landmark notoriety last year winning with its entry in the second-annual Stunt Design Showdown, hosted by 87North’s David Leitch in collaboration with actor Pete Davidson, the star of Leitch’s upcoming Amazon MGM release, How To Rob A Bank.
“Art House Action is about honoring the extraordinary talent and creativity of the East Coast stunt community,” said the team at Code 10-10 Productions. “We’re excited to create a space where these artists can showcase not only their physical skill, but also their storytelling, innovation, and cinematic vision.”
Art House Action starts at 7:30pm ET, and tickets are $15 at the door upon arrival. More information about The Slipper Room can be found at the official website.
