Netflix’s THE GENTLEMEN Introduced In New Stills For Guy Ritchie’s Crime Drama Series Spin-Off
With The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare still in toe among other prospects, director Guy Ritchie is also adding streaming to his 2024 itinerary with the upcoming episodic premiere of The Gentlemen, loosely spinning off his crackling British 2019 crime drama thriller of the same name which starred Matthew McConaughey.
The series follows Eddie Halstead, who has inherited his father’s sizeable estate only to discover that it’s sitting on top of a weed empire owned by the legendary Mickey Pearson. Has this straight-up soldier got what it takes to master the dark arts of the British criminal underworld and take control of the entire operation?
Ritchie directs the first two episodes as well as serves as executive producer, and co-writer alongside Matthew Read. The Gentlemen stars Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, Daniel Ings, along with Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Giancarlo Esposito, Chanel Cresswell, Michael Vu, Max Beesley, Jasmine Blackborow, Harry Goodwins, Dar Salim, Pearce Quigley, Ruby Sear and Peter Serafinowicz.
