Fans of Roel Reiné will be witness to his latest TV work in due time. For now, his current run is inbound for this Friday with upcoming Dutch sword epic, Redbad, following its release in the Netherlands.
In the year 754 AD, during a time of epic battles and bloodshed, Northern Europe is divided into two worlds: above the rivers, where the Frisians, Saxons and Danes live; and below the rivers, above the rivers, where the Franks live. They all want to achieve what even the Romans could not: to conquer all of Europe. An epic adventure from the Netherlands chronicling the legend of the pagan warrior king Redbad, who sets out to unite a army of allies powerful enough to defeat the seemingly invincible Franks.
Redbad stars Gijs Naber, Loes Haverkort, Søren Malling and Jonathan Banks for its limited theatrical and digital releases this weekend.
