The Rock’s Best Friend Is On A RAMPAGE In The New Official Trailer
If you’re a major Hollywood studio nowadays, you WANT actor Dwayne Johnson in your building. That’s pretty much been the mindset for sometime now and especially in recent memory as the actor builds himself into more films while on sets of others.
Such is what director Brad Peyton gets to share with the action star once again after San Andreas and with none other than classic game adaptation, Rampage, hitting theaters on April 20. Warner Bros. Pictures is out with a brand new trailer to charm the masses with Johnson in the role of a Primatologist whose long and close friendship with an orphaned albino silverback gorilla named George is threatened by a rogue experiment gone haywire.
Oscar nominee Naomie Harris also stars along with Malin Akerman, Jake Lacy, Joe Manganiello and Jeffrey Dean Morgan from a script by and a tone keen clearly on drawing out the pro-Harambe crowd. Watch the new trailer now!

Jason Momoa Finds JUST CAUSE To Star In The New 20th Century Fox Video Game Adaptation
For some, all the reason moviegoers need with actor Jason Momoa in mind may be the upcoming releases of Justice League from director Zack Snyder and DC standalone pic, Aquaman thereafter. That may change if you’re keen on video game adaptations in which case, feel free to turn your attention to Brad Peyton who is currently on deck for the imminent production of live-action video game adaptation, Rampage for New Line Cinema.
So what’s the good word? Well, one other video game adaptation is also on par for the blockbuster hit San Andreas helmer for which Momoa is officially set to star. That film, according to Deadline, would be Just Cause, inspired by the trilogy of games offset in 2006 by Avalanche Studios with Eidos Interactive and Square Enix with a script by Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World scribe John Collee; the most recent installment released in 2015.
Plot details and specifics are currently unknown for the film in which Momoa’s role, a black ops agent Rico Rodriguez under the employ of The Agency, is otherwise described as one going through a crisis of conscience during a mission; The first game is set in “San Esperito” a fictional South American tropical country where Rodriguez fights alongside Guerilla rebels to take down a dictator in possession of weapons of mass destruction.
Peyton, who is also set up to direct Black Hole for STXfilms, and partner Jeff Fierson are producing through their ASAP Entertainment banner as will Roy Lee via Vertigo Entertainment, Adrian Askarieh through Prime Universe Films, Eva Cao’s Supernova Entertainment and Mason XU and Fan Dong through China-based DNA Co. Ltd, with the latter providing financing. 20th Century Fox has first rights to worldwide distribution, sans China.
Momoa who currently stars on the Netflix series, Frontier, is also expected to make his run in stuntman and filmmaker Lin Oeding’s directorial debut, Braven, later this year.
Dwayne Johnson Announces Details On RAMPAGE
We have a shot to raise the bar and make something cool with this one as the basic storyline is three mutated gigantic monsters (Silverback, Alligator and Wolf) destroy major cities and landmarks across the US. This summer I’ll spend time at the San Diego Wildlife Preserve as well as with Anti-Poaching Units from Africa for my research. If you were a fan of the video game like I was, then you KNOW how bad ass and fun this movie can be. I’ll try not to screw it up ?. Shooting begins late this summer.
