Martial arts action superstar Donnie Yen’s latest film finally got some official mainstream poster art for its upcoming release. Directed by Teddy Chen, the new film Kung Fu Jungle had its share of confusing name changes dating back to last year between previous working titles like Last Of The Best, One Person’s Martial Arts Circle and the more redundant of the four, Kung Fu Killer. Last week got a little bit busy for me, so I couldn’t edit together Graeme Noble’s classic picks of the week. So I’m making up for lost time by attributing today’s bundle to international action superstar, Donnie Yen. And not for nothing either, considering he has another one well on the way to a release in a few months from director Teddy Chen titled Kung Fu Jungle with co-star Wang Baoqiang. Yen is still in the middle of bringing the goods together with other films ahead as well, including the second chapter to Iceman 3D, and 70’s crime thriller, Dragon City. Actor Donnie Yen has long been a Hollywood hopeful for his worldwide fanbase after crossing over in Miramax’s North American redistribution of the Yuen Woo-Ping classic, Iron Monkey. SYNOPSIS: In the Ming Dynasty, there lives four orphans, Ying (Donnie Yen), Sao (Wang Baoqiang), Yuanlong (Simon Yam) and Niehu (Yu Kang). Raised in Taoyuan Village, the four are as closed as brothers. Pre-Production Begins For Yuen's CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON 2

Well, it’s been a little over a year since it was reported that The Weinstein Company secured the rights to late Chinese author Wang Du Lu’s Crane/Iron pentalogy which inspired director Ang Lee’s 2000 award-winning Chinese-language wuxia epic, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Needless to say, it was a hit, and fourteen years later, the film is finally getting a sequel in the form of a prequel titled Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2: The Green Destiny. After roughly a year of production filled with more than it’s share of challenges, it appears things are finally coming together with action star Donnie Yen‘s long-awaited two-part epic reboot thriller, Iceman 3D. And this week, we now have a proper trailer that says so, with a lot more to offer on the film’s narrative than seen in previous footage, and should continue to garner further interest. The final trailer for Pou-Soi Cheang‘s new film, The Monkey King 3D has arrived as we approach the final week nearing the film’s theatrical release in Hong Kong and China on January 30 and 31, respectively.
