Director Aleksander Bach is still very much a busy guy with another film on the way, so his latest directorial debut in the live-action game adaptation, Hitman: Agent 47 already looks like an amazing start to a fruitful career in theatrical filmmaking. Moreover, I’ll be the first to admit I’m all for seeing this when it comes out in the next few weeks if I can help it, particularly since I love spectacular game adaptations with a fighting element. Rarely have I ever come across any sort of controversy when it comes to mangas or anime movies or shows or anything of the sort. To be honest, the only time I ever pay attention to these is if there’s action involved and making it’s way to some kind of film adaptation, and that includes director Miike Takashi‘s latest manga adaptation, Terra Formars. The film is based on the 2011 manga by Tachibana Kenshi and Sasuga Yū which centers on mankind’s peril when Earth and Mars fall victim to earlier efforts to colonize Mars through the use of modified algae and cockroaches.
