KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD Shares What The Fuss Is All About In The Latest Trailer
I don’t really have much to add about the latest trailer for Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword. It looks epic but I can’t say I’m hugely impressed by it so far and to establish this as the first of a whole franchise of titles may be stretching it. We’ll see how this goes.
SYNOPSIS:
Acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the epic fantasy action adventure “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.” Starring Charlie Hunnam in the title role, the film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne.
When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.
Charlie Hunnam and Oscar nominee Jude Law star, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen as and Eric Bana.
Check out the trailer before its May 21 release.
SDCC 2015: THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. Gets An Explosive Extended Comic-Con Trailer
The Warner Bros. line-up at San Diego Comic Con took full advantage of the Hall H crowd today as it unveiled its slate. As such, director Guy Ritchie’s The Man From U.N.C.L.E. was on hand to deliver the goods. Actor Henry Cavill was a busy bee on Saturday to help promote the film as one of two titles he’s starring in, here now along with Armie Hammer and actress Alicia Vikander lending her share of the charm to this theatrical rendition of the classic TV series from which it’s based.
The film’s release is slightly over a month away so it sounds proper that this would get dibs with Comic-Con goers this weekend. You can see what the studio unveiled in a new five-minute promo below!

Robert Downey Jr. Confirms The Development Of SHERLOCK HOLMES 3
As the world of comic book movie lore painfully awaits the verdict on whether or not it will see fourth Iron Man movie, leading Marvel man Robert Downey Jr. is still an actor with other projects in store aside from wearing his famed red-and-gold superhero armor. The actor took to a Reddit AMA session on Tuesday this week to answer questions from fans on a number of subjects (including the obvious). On that note, if cerebral, comedic wit with a touch of psychological thrills, chills, a splash of hard-hitting action with slick, stylish editing are more your speed, then you are in luck.
While it is not known yet about whether or not director Guy Ritchie will return to direct the long-awaited third installment of the Sherlock Holmes franchise, but Downey Jr. did manage to finally reveal that the film is in development. “Yes, we have a Sherlock 3 in development.”, he said. “We want it to be the best of the series, so that’s a pretty tall order,”. He also added, “Similarly to what we did with the first 2 Sherlocks, mining the original material for things that are ‘new.’”.
Based on the eponymous book series by nineteenth century author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, both films were commercial successes with the 2011 sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows fairing slightly better than its 2009 predecessor. Since then, talk of the threequel has been left brewing while both Downey Jr. and co-lead, Jude Law have been in and out, working out their schedules and getting their timing right.
With Downey Jr.‘s confirmation now public, hopefully the production will move forward with more announcements soon enough. In the meantime, Ritchie, who directed both films for Warner Bros., is currently working on the first installation of a brand new six-film King Arthur franchise, with actor Charlie Hunnam tentatively attached to star for a July 22, 2016 release.
Downey Jr. is currently on tour to promote his new drama, The Judge, which begins its opening statement to audiences in theaters this Friday. Law‘s new deep sea thriller, Black Sea, arrives on January 23, 2015.

'Sons Of Anarchy' Star Charlie Hunnam Lands KING ARTHUR Lead
Despite all current hopes for a third installment to the Sherlock Holmes franchise, instead, director Guy Ritchie will instead be working under Warner Bros. on the forthcoming production of a new six-film saga for King Arthur. The initial report came back in April, just a decade after director Antoine Fuqua released his own cinematic take on the legendary British king back in 2004 with actor Clive Owen in the lead.
An attempted reboot from Warner Bros. went through several transitions starting in 2010 with different actors, screenwriters and directors ever since. Four years later with Ritchie set to direct from a script by Awake (2007) scribe Joby Harold and producers Akiva Goldsman and Tory Tunnell attached, Deadline brings the official first casting news for actor Charlie Hunnam in the title role.
Hunnam‘s casting comes on the heels of a possible return for Legendary Pictures’ April 7, 2017 for director Guillermo del Toro’s Jaeger/Kaiju war sequel, Pacific Rim 2, following an awesome announcement back in June. The news also arrived just in time as the seventh and final season of the FX original series, Sons Of Anarchy debuted its latest trailer for its start date on September 9.
Check it out below and stay tuned for more info on Pacific Rim 2, as well as King Arthur ahead of its July 22, 2016 release!
