A sequel to Warhorse One is in development, according to information shared on social media via actor Johnny Strong and the film’s official fanpage. The film, tentatively titled “Warhorse Two” as illustrated by current prelim artwork online, will reportedly begin production in the new year with a script by Strong who starred in the first film, as well as co-directed with filmmaker William Kaufman (Daylight’s End, The Channel).
Warhorse One will release select theaters on June 30, followed by On Demand, and digital from July 4 from Well Go USA.

The film reteams the duo for a third time in the years since converging on the LA set of 2010 crime thriller, Sinners And Saints, followed by 2016 dystopian zombie actioner, Daylight’s End.

I still actually have a ways to go in catching up with certain titles that fell off the radar for me in the last several years. William Kaufman’s small scale 2010 film Sinners And Saints is one of them, especially after managing to snag a few viewings of his 2005 killer thriller, The Prodigy, which absolutely impressed me.

With the upcoming rollout or Jesse Johnson’s The Pay Up, Accident Man and Triple Threat in his wake, leave it to action star Scott Adkins to help carry the mantle with word on the upcoming action thriller revisal, Sinners & Saints: Vengeance. Adkins will reunite once more with Chad Law-penned Jarhead 3: The Siege helmer William Kaufman who, in turn, reunites with actor Johnny Strong who led the initial 2011 revenge cop thriller.
The film aims as a stand-alone sequel which tells of a New Orleans detective who journeys to Moscow to avenge the murder of his partner at the hands of a syndicate enforcer with the help of an old war buddy, and the enforcer’s lover. Law, whose writing credits also include Kaufman’s zombie hit thriller, Daylight’s End and Isaac Florentine’s Adkins-led home invasion action pic, Close Range, is scripting with Saints And Sinners scribe Jay Moses ahead of the film’s Bulgarian shoot this Winter.
Hailing the production is the most recent teaser artwork which has been around for some time now, while the current goal will be to bring two more sequels to the table between now and 2020. King Hollis is producing the pic with alongside Yanko Ushatov and Stanimir Stamatov. (The Action Elite)
