This week, French actor and parkour pioneer David Belle’s Hollywood rendition of his previous role in director Pierre Morel’s 2004 hit thriller, Banlieue 13 can now be seen in Entertainment Tonight’s exclusive premiere of the new quick teaser for Camille Delamarre‘s directorial debut, Brick Mansions. On Thursday, Collider took to the web to share a new set of photos from upcoming releases and current productions, including one photo featured over at Indiewire, the first from the set of director Camille Delamare‘s American parkour action thriller remake, Brick Mansions, based on Pierre Morrel’s 2004 French-language hit, Banlieue B13, which starred Parkour trendsetter, actor David Belle and actor/fight choreographer Cyril Raffaelli. The photo features lead actor Paul Walker, inheriting Raffaelli’s previous role as a cop reluctantly partnered with a street smart freerunner to recover a weapon of mass destruction from a major drug pusher within the ghetto known as “Brick Mansions”. After showing its character featurette for actress Jija Yanin, the official YouTube channel for Sahamongkol has unveiled its second character featurette for Tom Yum Goong 2, and from the looks of things, it appears that co-star, the RZA, will be more than a talking head in the new film. The featurette illustrates further details than what’s been available since the musician/director/actor appeared in the leaked trailer earlier this year, leading up to the official trailer thereafter. Breakout action star Marrese Crump is joining hip hop artist, producer and filmmaker, The RZA and action choreographer Panna Ritthikrai in working on bringing martial arts cinema fans the next wave in action with a new film called FORMLESS. The film began developing in 2010 and is a continuation of Crump’s partnership with Ritthikrai since completing Tony Jaa’s upcoming Thai action blockbuster sequel, TOM YUM GOONG 2. Filming is currently in progress as details about the film are few as things stand. A new report from MThai interpreted via Martial Arts Action Cinema on Facebook indicates a possible release date for Tom Yum Goong 2 on December 5, 2013, thus dispelling any previously mentioned news of a release this May. The update comes just a year and a half after principal photography began with some bumps along the way, in addition to the history-making use of CGI and wirework on a Jaa film set.
