Well, I really don’t know what to think or say at this point with Machinima still stalling on granting director Joey Ansah’s hit miniseries, Street Fighter: Resurrection. The four-part endeavor premiered back in March and solely to North American audience as per the availability of mobile users downloading the go90 app and was a jewel of a showcase for fans still clamoring for more after Ansah shut 2014 down with the hit feature film/online series installation, Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist. I’ve tried finding out more about Resurrection and it’s safe to say I know about as much as the average person reading this article. My weekend started off as a bust on Saturday with that hugely ridic blizzard. The snow here was treacherous and almost impossible and with work in between, I’ve found myself putting this Hit List together late in the evening. Gladly, it’s here now and all is well and normal. As such, we begin this week’s latest entree of stunt and tricking reels with stellar demonstrations by Matt Emig and his latest quartet for a sync tricking session, followed by Sam Parham, Lee Huang, Steffen Jung, Judd Wild, Krista Jasper and Joe Chacon. It has taken several years (decades, even!) to formulate a seemingly ambitious and appropriate vision of Capcom’s Street Fighter to happen in a live-action format, and as we grow closer to the release of that very conception in the form of director Joey Ansah‘s newest labor of love, Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, updates on the official Facebook page have been rare as of late. This week, however, fans were treated with another full glimpse of actor, co-writer/creator and fight choreographer Christian Howard in the role of Ken Masters, which you can view above. Post production continues on actor, writer and director Joey Ansah‘s forthcoming multi-platform live-action feature film, Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist. Over the last several months as they shot and wrapped up filming in Bulgaria between July 14 and August 24 of this year, the official Facebook page has been delivering a slow and steady stream of teaser photos from the set of the upcoming film, Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, including that of actors Shôgen Hwang and Gaku Space as younger versions of characters Gôken and Gôki, actor Akira Koieyama as an older version of Gôken, actress Hyunri as Sayaka and Togo Igawa as Gôtetsu, in addition to The Wolverine co-star Hal Yamanouchi as Senzo. 2013 may possibly be the year we will remember the names of producer Jacqueline Quella, and martial arts actor, stuntman and action filmmaker Joey Ansah for helping bring to life what could possibly be the best live-action adaptation of Campom’s long-running video fighting game franchise, Street Fighter, that any fan may ever see. In 1993, Hong Kong cinemas were first given a taste of Street Fighter characters in such films as Future Cops the live action manga Hong Kong action comedy, City Hunter.
