THE EIGHT HUNDRED: Guan Hu Brings The Battle To UK Homes This Spring
Despite suffering the elongated woes of stifling film festival politics and Chinese censors a few years ago, Guan Hu’s most recent war epic, The Eight Hundred, finally managed to get a theatrical release to blockbuster fruition, albeit shorter in duration then. The film also scored releases overseas with CMC Pictures taking U.S. territory, and for this, folks in the U.K. can themselves make way for a physical rollout this Spring courtesy of Trinity CineAsia. Releasing on DVD come March 22, and on limited edition Blu-Ray (with alternative artwork and exclusive extras) and digital from April 12, The Eight Hundred is directed by Hu and stars Ou Hao, Jianf Wu, Zhang Yi, Wang Qianyuan, Du Chun and Li Chen.
