Director Vasan Bala has several credits in many facets for the film projects he’s worked on – namely in screenwriting and assistant directing aspects. César Award winning actress Mélanie Laurent (Beginners, Inglorious Bastards) and Payman Maadi (The Night Of, A Separation, 13 Hours) are the latest additions to the ensemble cast of the upcoming action film, 6 Underground. The film hails from Netflix and Skydance Media with prolific Transformers franchise helmer Michael Bay in his first pairing with starring actor and Deadpool franchise star Ryan Reynolds. September 7 is the official release date for the new action drama, The Blizzard. An updated short trailer is online as well as a few new poster bits for Jiang Kaiyang’s new film. Liu Haiyang witnessed his best fellow at Police College, Song Chao, escaping away while his father is dying in the blood. Considered as the murderer, Song absconded from Harbin to Hainan. Dropping a nice little jewel online, the first official look at actress Liu Yi-Fei in the title iteration of Mulan arrived via Twitter on Monday. The photo signals the official launch of production from Disney with Whale Rider and McFarland, USA helmer Niki Caro directing. Actress Liu, whose preceding credits also include The Forbidden Kingdom, Outcast, The Four trilogy and Once Upon A Time, revives the fandom stemming from an ancient folkloric tale of a young Chinese maiden who masquerades as a male soldier in order to save her father.
