Review: OUTLAWED Shoots Terrorism In The Face And Gets The Girl For Queen And Country

Actor and filmmaker Adam Collins has up to six years in film credits with a few years to his name as a certified stunt performer. His time as a Royal Marine Commando has also proven pertinent to his career goals as it now brings us his fully fledged feature debut next to co-helmer/writer Luke Radford with Outlawed, a tale heartily attributed to the armed forces upon its release. Collins directed a shortfilm prior to this, although Outlawed is my own inaugural observation of his craft, applied aptly in large part despite budgetary constraints. Much of the film is straightforward, smartly directed and well acted in its execution, coupled with just the right amonut of sex and violence anyone in their 30s or older can take heed to for their own tastes in film. Pretty much my highlight thusfar next to managing to screen BuyBust and with another review coming later this week, in addition to another offering of THE HIT LIST… Indeed, the work had been cut out for me. Deadline‘s Mike Fleming Jr. confirmed on Monday that an adaptation of Supergirl is in the works at Warner Bros. News comes in the way of a new era at the studio with respect to its DC properties in the wake of its struggles after Justice League failed to impress at the box office in 2017. Otto Binder and Al Plastino launch the character via Action Comics in 1959 as the cousin of the titular root protagonist, “Superman”, who left doomed planet Krypton as a teen. Actress Helen Slater portrayed the character in Jeannot Szwarc’s 1984 film prior to its 2007 television rendition through the hit series, Smallville, and its current serial run on CBS featuring actress Melissa Benoist. Review: Erik Matti’s BUYBUST Pays With Intriguing Relevance… And Lots Of Bodies!

One of the most delightful things anyone might hear upon learning of a film like Erik Matti’s new crime opera, BuyBust is who will star. I didn’t know who Anne Curtis was until XYZ’s own Todd Brown broke the news at ScreenAnarchy on top of other updates regarding training of the cast, as well as the director’s own subsequent passionate testimonials on Facebook, and I have to say, in wake of its 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this film has done an incredible job selling itself. The reviews and residual reactions stemming from its festival run and recent release in The Philippines have been mostly positive, that is, apart a few articles I’ve come across that have been critical in nature. Alexander Nevsky Delivers MAXIMUM IMPACT This Fall

Actor, former Mr. Universe and film multihyphenate Alexander Nevsky (HFPA, Russia) is finally on deck to bring Hollywood Storm-produced action comedy Maximum Impact to theaters. It was last October that actor Dave Bautista was tapped for an STXfilms starring vehicle – unnamed at the time but reported as bearing franchise potential. Ronald Wimberly’s Image publication, Prince Of Cats, is now the subject of Legendary’s latest acquistion as of late Tuesday. As Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr. exclusively wrote, the adaptation will be a starring vehicle for actor Lakeith Stanfield (Sorry To Bother You, Get Out, Death Note) with Selwyn Sefyu Hinds (HBO’s Who Fears Death) penning the script. Prince Of Cats was originally released in 2012 from DC/Vertigo, and is described as an 80’s hip-hop retelling of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet with a mix of urban drama, samurai action and classic Shakespearean theater. So…last Monday saw some pretty explosive news pertaining to a remake of Robert Clouse’s 1973 movie, Enter The Dragon. And like clockwork, the internet has, once again, fallen into entropy. While responses have been a general mixture between likes, shares and retweets, actual commentary from folks have ranged from cautiously optimistic to wholly and purely cynical. Jokes pertaining to whitewashing with comments optioning Scarlett Johansson or Matt Damon have comprised much of the banter from critics of this latest update and one guy on my fan page voted that “we” should dig up dirt on attached director, David Leitch (Deadpool 2).
