Smrz's 24 HOURS TO LIVE Among A Slate Of Titles In A Deal With Barco Escape

It was on Monday when some of us first caught wind of entertainment company, Barco Escape, amid the promotion of Justin Lin’s Star Trek: Beyond; To start, I think it’s unfortunate that not all theaters can accomodate such theatrical technology, but the idea of expanding and augmenting screens for a more immersive moviegoing experience will otherwise prove delightful for anyone in the vicinity of these locations. More importantly now is the relevance it bears with all things happening this week at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company is now putting out a new announcement that will accomodate a production deal between two company, thus, adding a slew of titles to rack up for the next several years for Barco’s movie arsenal. Watch The Latest Trailer For Boyapati Sreenu's SARRAINODU

Talk about over-the-top. Director Boyapati Sreenu’s newest Telugu action thriller, Sarrainodu is well on the way with actor Allu Arjun back in the limelight for a release in India on April 22. The film hails from Geetha Arts which produces many blockbusters and is headed by Arjun’s father, Allu Aravind, which explains why this looks as epic as it does. There’s no story available to share, but do check out the trailer, and if you’re left wondering why not a single thread of hair was thrown out of place during any of the action you’re about to sample, don’t worry…I’m right there with you. This is pretty sick stuff and it’s all tantamount to Indian action cinema, which makes it all forgiveable and entertaining right down to the end. (H/T: Twitchfilm)

It’s fair to say that directors Anthony and Joe Russo have met the standard for Marvel’s take on Captain America. Scott Eastwood Pulls Into FAST 8

When you hear the name, Scott Eastwood, you’re hearing of someone whose about to have a really great year in film. The Suicide Squad co-star recently lined up a few starring roles in titles such as Overdrive and Joel Souza’s sci-fi crime thriller, Crown Vic, and now  it appears that he’ll be partaking in another tentpole film with Fast 8 under director F. Say what you will about Warner Bros, but they still have a schedule to keep with some of their films – particularly when it comes to their current slate of DC films, and it seems for the most part, they’re doing exactly that. Deadline is reporting that Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse, the screenwriters behind the Jesse Owens biopic, Race, are on board to write the sequel for the 2014 cult hit, Edge Of Tomorrow. The first film adapts the hit manga, “All You Need Is Kill”, with a plot that saw actor Tom Cruise as a public affairs military major swept into an Earthbound battle with aliens in which his own catastrophic death mingles his blood with the enemy, forcing him in a time loop that repeats the day over and over. BASTILLE DAY Sees A Footchase And A Fear Of Heights In A New Clip

In case you’ve forgotten, director James Watkins and the folks over at Studiocanal still have an action thriller to sell, and with its best foot forward with actor Idris Elba kicking down the action star door for Bastille Day which opens in the UK on April 22. The film joins him in a story of a tough CIA field agent in Paris who gets caught in a web of intrigue with only the help of an elusive pickpocket to solve a deadly conspiracy. Richard Madden of Game Of Thrones fame plays the pickpocket, and as you’re about to see, while he may be good at pickpocketing, he’s way less graceful when it comes to perilous foot chases atop of Parisian apartment structures. THE PEANUTS MOVIE (2016): An Allegory

The Peanuts Movie opens with a homage to the iconic Vince Guaraldi music of the 60s and 70s (presented by composer Christophe Beck), the classic, whimsical tunes that have been a staple of the gang’s antics given to us by Charles Schulz long ago (in a creative galaxy far away?) before anyone reading this, presumably, was even born. The film itself is a commemoration of the series’ 65th anniversary, bringing back the famous threadbare storytelling style characterized by brevity and minimalism, yet packed with more take away value than some 300+ page novels.
