Watch A New Trailer For THE TRANSPORTER REFUELED

It’s obvious that a lot of fans of action star Jason Statham aren’t too keen on anyone else filling in his shoes for another take on the Transporter franchise. For better or worse though, that is what’s happening with Deadpool co-star Ed Skrein staking his claim in the title role. The new film, The Transporter Refueled, is opening in a little over three weeks and with plans for a trilogy in the works, there is a lot of ground to cover. For me, my test was director Camille Delamarre‘s debut remaking Pierre Morel’s Banlieue 13 as Brick Mansions which felt more lackluster and dry in the action than anything. JACK REACHER 2 To Begin Filming This November!

The opening weekend box office success of Christopher MacQuarrie’s latest, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, has done quite the justice for actor Tom Cruise. As such, the floodgates have further opened on the possible reprisal of a few of the actor’s recent roles in films like the live-action anime adaptation, Edge Of Tomorrow, and a sequel to his 2012 book-based action suspense thriller, Jack Reacher 2. The latter didn’t exactly do so well during its theatrical run with a domestic total of $80 million dollars under its belt, although grossing $138 million abroad earnings reportedly became a huge help. For this, talk of a sequel has kept things simmering, and now word from THR writes that the film is set to begin shooting this November, reunitng Cruise with The Last Samurai helmer Ed Zwick in the director’s chair. Liam Neeson To Play General MacArthur Korean War Drama, OPERATION CHROMITE

Turning in a string of action hits for the past several years has certainly earned actor Liam Neeson much credibility ahead of his looming retirement from action roles. It continues as of this week with word that he’s now been comfirmed by Taewon Entertainment to star as General Douglas MacArthur in the new Korean War film, Operation Chromite. The film stands as another potential commercial success befitting Korean War genre flicks of late – specifically the July release of Northern Limit Line which became Korea’s top grossing local film of the year, and comes at a time when Asian studios have branched out with casting and crewing as a lucrative formula. RIDE ALONG 2 Brandishes A New Poster

Director Tim Story‘s 2014 action comedy, Ride Along, felt slightly lukewarm than preferred while actor and comedian Kevin Hart helped carry the film’s much-needed comedy and slapstick. Whatever the case may be, the formula worked with lead actor Ice Cube in the mix along with Lawrence Fishburne and John Leguizamo as the film became the first title of the year to hold the number one spot for three consecutive weeks. Surely enough it set the tone for a sequel and following its announcement thereafter, Ride Along 2 is finally going viral with a new poster. The first film, starring Hart and Cube, saw the story of a tough cop who sets up a series of intentionally disatrous trials for his sister’s fianceé – a fast-talking secuity guard willing to do anything to prove his worthiness. 1440 Entertainment's KINDERGARTEN COP Reboot Now Filming In Vancouver

Initially, the last thing I personally expected was for there to be a Kindergarten Cop sequel at this juncture, and particularly since its been well over two decades. The first film, directed by Ivan Reitman and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger offered an entertaining blend of action, comedy and charm forcing a badass street cop, and much to his chagrin, to go undercover as a kindergarten teacher in order to protect a mother and her son from a ruthless drug dealer. As needless as it is to say, it’s a film that has earned its title as a memorable classic for Schwarzenegger’s performance, and at least nowadays it’s imaginable to see how a sequel ro a reboot would work. Without Schwarzenegger, however, time will tell, but Universal’s 1440 Entertainment division is now underway with a reboot with Jarhead 2 helmer Don Michael Paul directing from David H. Much may have been up in the air as to whether or not actor Tom Hardy would be up for a comic book role after departing Suicide Squad long before filming. Alas, if there really indeed was, it appears that question has finally been answered. For this, we leer on over to a new report from THR announcing the Child 44 and The Dark Knight Rises co-star’s newly attached role in New Line Cinema’s first foot forward with Vertigo Comics properties, 100 Bullets. It’s been a busy, busy year for the blog, and I seem to notice I’m running out of outstanding stunt reels. I may have to substitute if this keeps going, although I hope this turns around. Well Go USA Announces SPL 2: A TIME FOR CONSEQUENCES For 2016 Release!

Courtesy of Bravos Pictures It’s safe to say that director Soi Cheang‘s latest theatrical bit of action fanfare, SPL 2: A Time For Consequences, is a hit no matter what some opinions may be. Several reviews floating online are lending well-balancef earfuls to the film’s credit as an otherwise exciting follow-up to the first film in 2005. Tony Jaa and Wu Jing star at the forefront of this thematic continuation which sees Jing as an embattled undercover cop teaming up with a Thai prison guard to take down a courrupt warden. Director Anggy Umbara is ready to darken things a bit after going the action comedy route with his latest sequel stint, Comic 8: Casino Kings. His newest endeavor as of the past year or so are now culminating very nicely with a slick new trailer now making the rounds for the new film, 3, pitting futuristic aesthetics with gritty and hardcore storytelling and characters grounded in a millieu of uncertainty, as well as assuring thrills and hard-hitting action. There’s no English synopsis but there’s an Indonesian insert in the descruption of the trailer which also has English subtitles to outline a good idea of what’s happening: longstanding philosophical and ideological differences among bitter friends, mainly. There’s plenty to hope for in lieu of Lucasfilm and Disney’s latest entry into a new chapter of the Star Wars movie saga. With sequels and spin-offs pending, director J.J. Abrams’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues to build a mass of fandom and reinviogoration for the franchise with a slew of teasers and trailers that offer a glimpse of what appears to nothing short of a glorious return to the aesthetic that made the franchise what it is today. Comic 8 franchise director Anggy Umbara has a new film on the horizon followng its ceremonious announcement in January and subsequent production as of February.
