BACK TO THE PAST: Louis Koo Battles To Save The Emperor In The Official North American Trailer
The official trailer has arrived for Back To The Past, the latest feature film add-on to its popular TV franchise predecessor. Louis Koo leads the cast in reunion with his Twilight Of The Warriors: Walled-In star Raymond Lam, in addition to Jessica Hsuan, Sonija Kwok, and Joyce Tang all reprising to their original roles.
BACK TO THE PAST picks up nineteen years after the end of “A Step into the Past.” After two decades of peaceful solitude, Hong Siu-lung (Koo) is drawn back to the Qin Dynasty when the six states—long united under Emperor Ying Ching (Lam)—are threatened by a time-traveling adversary, fueled by revenge over his wrongful imprisonment. The past and present collide as Hong Siu-lung and the Emperor battle threats, both new and familiar, to protect the empire and the future itself.
The trailer comes following the film’s acquisition by Well Go USA for North America as of last week, succeeding its release in China and recent box office success in the UK from Trinity CineAsia.
New additions to the cast include Michael Miu, Bai Baihe, and Louis Cheung, and also features action sequences by Sammo Hung, who remains intent on making Koo look damn good everytime their on set together. Incredible stuff.
