Marvel To Include An Exclusive Look At AVENGERS 2 In The GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY DVD/Blu-Ray Release!

It’s not enough to simply say that Marvel’s The Avengers: Age Of Ultron will be one of the most anticipated blockbusters to arrive next year. Nope, not since its $220 million dolllar predecessor earned $1.518 billion dollars in its total run worldwide. In essence, words fail. Disney knows this, and in lieu of the forthcoming DVD release of director James Gunn‘s surprise summer 2014 hit, Guardians Of The Galaxy, the studio is taking the opportunity to load it with a handful of great features, including an EXCLUSIVE look at the upcoming sequel directed by Joss Whedon. The footage will be included on the DVD and Blu-Ray discs while an official teaser is expected to arrive in the coming weeks. Comic book movie news is a trip to keep up with. As of this writing, there are as many as thirty films listed between Marvel and DC from several studios slated to be released by 2020. Comic-Con hype has been rife with a plethora of updates regarding superhero movie multifranchise business dealings. I’m not there for all the action so it feels a little overwhelming and difficult to keep up with as things are always happening from many angles (i.e. the sudden mysterious release date additions and switcheroos that tooks place earlier this week for several Marvel universe-related titles as well as the forthcoming third and fourth films of the Amazing Spider-Man franchise). GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Gets An IMAX Featurette

I haven’t done much on director James Gunn‘s upcoming release of Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy. This film is pretty much selling itself at this point with all of the extended trailers, clips and character posters that have already gone viral in the past month and is sure to be a hit a upon release. The film is also getting a sequel, and while Gunn is already on record debunking Planet Hulk movie rumors this week, I’m eager to see how far Marvel plans to extended this corner of their cinematic superhero universe. After all, with five empty spaces between now and 2019, one can only imagine. In the meantime, Marvel is giving the new film the IMAX treatment it deserves when it released August 1. Well, the new international trailer for director James Gunn‘s new film, Guardians Of The Galaxy certainly is a seller, getting past all the tongue-in-cheek humor from earlier on. Actor Chris Pratt takes the lead in what looks like another promising new addition into the Marvel movie universe, and time will tell just how it all fits, especially with Marvel reportedly getting quite serious about another standalone Hulk feature. It just grows and grows. Wow. Pratt is joined by actress Zoë Saldana and actor Dave Batista, with voice performances by Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. Lego fans can get their hands on three new construction sets attributed to Marvel’s upcoming release of Guardians Of The Galaxy which will hit store shelves beginning June 1, exactly two months before the forthcoming film hits theaters nationwide. And on that note, accompanying lead actor Chris Pratt‘s late Tuesday night interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live is this week’s new trailer with all our characters front-and-center. Variety reports that actor Djimon Honsou will be starring in Fast And Furious 7. The word comes with simultaneous reports via First Showing that actor Kurt Russell would no longer appear in the film, and instead might be appearing in the next installment of the now-third trilogy of the Fast And Furious franchise. Honsou‘s casting announcement could be in direct-relation to earlier details interpreted by First Showing regarding Universal Pictures’ said casting for a villain to appear in Fast 7, who would be an even worse villain in Fast 8. Current details on the villain for the seventh installment include the casting of actor Jason Statham continuing his role as the brother of the villain in the Justin Lin-directed Furious 6.
