El Rey Network’s From Dusk Til Dawn: The Series casts an increasingly compelling spotlight on the intertwining world of the culebra underground; Essentially, we’ve been provided a vast mythology that more than lives beyond the limitations of the 1995 feature film from which the show itself was sprung, and the show, developed by Robert Rodriguez, has spoken for itself ever since with its renewal as of late last year. As such, season three still has a premiere date pending, but if you’ve seen the show, you pretty much have an idea about what’s going to happen and how it affects some of our children characters, both new and returning. For further insight however, El Rey has been releasing cast featurettes stemming from the production, including segments by D.J. Adkins And Zaror Reunite For Jesse V. Johnson's SAVAGE DOG

One may have wondered exactly when Undisputed 3: Redemption character opposites, Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror would reunite for another round. Well, leave it to Zaror to tease the masses on Thursday with a little bit of Cannes sales art from Bleiberg Entertainment for the new action thriller, Savage Dog. Plot details and crew informantion are unavailable at present. The folks over at Bleiberg Entertainment are shopping the film at Cannes this week with the artwork seen below, and plans to shoot the film in June, reuniting Adkins with director Jesse V. Johnson since cameoing in Johnson’s Dominique Vandenberg-led 2005 action thriller, Pit Fighter. The film is also the latest to come from Johnson since wrapping and festival circulating his latest noir action drama, The Beautiful Ones which currently awaits a release. I speak of director Riccardo Gabrielli R.’s latest treatment of author and creator Nicolas Rodriguez’s digital comic franchise, Zambo Dende, a welcoming opportunity for film studios to venture into Latino superhero property beyond less obscure figures like Zorro or Miles Morales’s Spider-Man, or that of Marvel and DC. I can’t say much on why it took so long for Chile to finally get a release for director Ernesto Diaz Espinoza‘s most recent martial arts action thriller, Redeemer. Nevertheless, the film finally has a release set for December 3, and hopefully Chileans have taken heed to the good press this film has already gotten since its Fantastic Fest debut late last year. And what’s more, it’s the native terriory of action star Marko Zaror who cut his teeth as a stuntman prior to blowing the lid off of Chilean martial arts action with films like Kiltro and MirageMan. Strictly for the fans in Japan, Ernesto Diaz Espinoza’s latest revenge thriller, Redeemer 『ザ・リディーマー』, is heading to DVD and digital on February 3, and the trailer arrived this week. Action star Marko Zaror is a man on a spiritual mission to test his will to live through acts of vigilantism, to which an array of explosive action and martial arts sequences ensue, and much to our delight! It’s old news for most folks stateside, but it’s still very much relevant for fellow fans in the far East which makes it all the more relevant. Hopefully it won’t be long before we see more precise info regarding the upcoming live-action superhero debut of 7g Lab’s digital comic, Zambo Dende. The project filmed on location in Bogota, Colombia close to a year ago and with November rolling by and several bits of behind-the-scenes teaser material floating online, the official poster just went viral which you can now view below. Delivering as a proof-of-concept to pitch for feature potential in the hopeful not-too-distant future, Zambo Dende is the brainchild of creator Nicolas Rodriguez, with a story focused on Azuk, a slave child who would grow up to discover his noble roots and become a symbol of hope for the oppressed slaves of 16th century Latin America. Yes, I fully admit to being invariably biased when it comes to specific action film titles. Ernesto Diaz Espinoza‘s festival favorite and recent Dark Sky Films U.S. release, Redeemer, fits the mold with Chilean action hero Marko Zaror starring in the title role of a man seeking redemption for his previous atrocities through dispensing unmitigated vigilante justice. Zaror dominates the film with sheer veracity in his choreography and performance with long time martial arts and film cohort and friend, actor José Luis Mosca in the role of the principal killer villain, and you can read all about it in my 2014 review, as well as my earlier interview with Zaror back in May. It’s been well over a decade since Chilean martial artist and stuntman Marko Zaror transitioned his career, thus landing in our sights with his debut role in the action-packed feature, Kiltro. Billed as the first South American film of its kind, it helped put Zaror and its director Ernesto Diaz Espinoza on the map toward greatness as the two forged a path through film that would ultimately see them become festival favorites by and large.
