SYNOPSIS:
A new hope for the powerless and impoverished people and its name is KUNDO.

But as the rulers are concerned with only their own wealth, they carry on exploiting and persecuting the poor. In this dark period, KUNDO is a ray of hope for the poor; he is someone who can be the figure of fear to the undeserving nobles. And there are two men who have to stand against each other.
In the era when one’s status is decided by birth, Dolmuchi was born to a poor butcher while Jo-yoon was born into a powerful and wealthy family. The two men strike a dangerous deal and Dolmuchi loses his mother and sister as a result. He is trampled by Jo-yoon who commands absolute power in his oppressive world.
Bringing together the men who are on the fringe of this dark society, Dolmuchi is accepted as a member of KUNDO and opens his eyes to the world. He draws his sword out of the sheath and disperses the shadow cast on the poor and helpless. Before him, the man who took away his family appears. Standing in front Joyoon, Dolmuchi challenges his arch-enemy to their final duel.

Lee And Park Take A Seat In Two New Posters For Upcoming Crime Pic, FOR THE EMPEROR
It looks like things are getting heavily underway for director Park Sang-jun and his latest cinematic gangster crime flick, For The Emperor. Stills of the film have already gone viral with recent airing of a photoshoot BTS video and the official first teaser for the film featuring actors Lee Min-Ki and Park Sung-Woong, and actress Lee Tae-Im, in a story about a down-and-out former pro-baseballer and game fixer who gets taken under the wing of an organized crimeboss.
The film is set to hit this June with a date still pending, but we now also have a proper synopsis that offers what appears to be a tasty dramatic action thriller that pitting a tough thug against a notorious gangster and his small army. In addition, we now have two new character posters for our male leads, Lee and Park, which you can observe toward the bottom of the page. SYNOPSIS:
Hwan (LEE Min-ki), former professional baseball player. He was involved in fixing games and left the mound after losing everything. Natural born athlete gets recruited by the private loan ring, and the young naïve man gets fascinated by their money and power. He has nothing on him but expands his territory with confidence and malice.
Sang-ha (PARK Sung-woong) is the cold-blooded illegal organization’s boss who leads his members with loyalty and trust. He takes Hwan under his wing when is struggling and weak by bringing him into his circle of crime. And with Sang-ha’s trust he climbs up the ladder in an illegal private loan ring, Hwang-jae Capital.
Meanwhile, he falls in love with Yun-su (LEE Tae-im) who is only worth as a business tool. Suddenly Yun-su disappears, and Hwan thinks that Sang-ha is deeply involved with her leaving. Hwan is going to start rebel against his boss Sang-ha to win his love and authority.

It's A Whole New Ball Game In The New Teaser For Noir Crime Thriller, FOR THE EMPEROR
Phantom: The Submarine helmer Park Sang-jun is back this year with a brand new noir action crime thriller that was just introduced to the public last month during the Hong Kong FilMart. That film is the new Busan noir crime thriller, For The Emperor, featuring Monster star Lee Min-ki in a story of a former pro-baseball player and game saboteur who gets caught and loses everything before finding salvation under the wing of a local crime boss, and becomes romantically involved with a sexy bar owner.
The film also stars New World actor Park Sung-woong and Days Of Wrath co-star, actress Lee Tae-Im, who can now be seen in the latest of two new videos out this week, including a 30-second teaser that’s bound to attain your curiousity if you’re into action films. For The Emperor is set to release this June with a date still pending.

Entrapment Ensues In The New South Korean Crime Thriller, A HARD DAY
South Korean director Kim Sung-Hyun has a riveting new suspense thriller coming this summer that centers around a cop whose life takes a destructive plot twist following a fatal car accident. Simply titled, A Hard Day, the film stars Lee Sun-kyun and Cho Jin-woong, and is currently nominated to be part of the Directors’ Fortnight line-up which kicks off at the Cannes Film Festival in France on May 15.
This week, we have a new full trailer following the release of a first trailer for the film earlier this month, both of which you can check out below. A Hard Day opens in South Korean cinemas on May 29.
SYNOPSIS:
On the way back from his mother’s funeral, special crimes detective Gun-su gets into an accident, killing a man instantly. In order to cover up his crime, he hides the body inside his mother’s coffin, with her inside. A few days later, Gun-su’s crime pops up on the police database and his partner is heading up the case. Gun-su feels distressed as his partner slowly uncovers more details of the accident. To make things worse, a witness to the accident approaches Gun-su by threatening his life.

Fans of recent film festival hits like Mo Brothers’ Killers could get a stab or two from this latest venture into slasher territory about a young, mentally unstable woman whose younger sister dies at the hands of a killer, initiating a two-way chase between two people thirsty for each other’s blood.
Monster stars Lee Min-Ki, Kim Go-Eun and Yoo Jae-Myung, and heads its way to big screens in South Korea on March 13.

His Majesty Takes Aim In The New Teaser For THE KING'S WRATH
A new teaser and several character posters have now gone viral for the upcoming film, The King’s Wrath. Directed by Lee Jae Kyu, the new period action drama stars actor Hyun Bin fresh from his return from conscription after volunteering in 2011 and reportedly into his first “sageuk” role, namely based on that of real-life King Jeong-jo, an 18th century Joseon Dynasty ruler who faces assassination attempts and political turmoil at every turn.
