Thursday was a day filled with epic reveals for superhero movie news. With updates burning the netizenry and any number of them flourishing based on rumors, it gets difficult to keep up with. At least now, I’ve gathered what I could that I know is solid, and for those of you who have the mental stamina to keep up with this sort of thing daily, you guys and gals get all the points. Check Out A New BTS Featurette And Costume Reveal For Netflix’s DAREDEVIL

Granted you’ve avoided as many TV spots and trailers as possible in lieu of this Friday’s premiere of Daredevil on Netflix, chances are you might already be aware of the treat that lies ahead. The series is already boasting some great reviews online with actor Charlie Cox taking the title role as the lawyer-by-day and crimefighter-by-night opposite actor Vincent D’onofrio as the one and only Kingpin, and with the show merely hours away, Marvel unveiled a new behind-the-scenes look, as well as the very future iteration of Cox in the iconic red suit in a brand new animated poster just beneath. Cox and D’onfrio are joined by Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson and many more. Check out the featurette and poster below!

Armand Assante Joins Tony Schiena's DARC, Nick Powell To Direct

Decorated former Karate champion and real-life law-enforcement liason, actor Tony Schiena‘s new film, Darc, has been long in development for several years now and appears to finally be moving forward since last year’s update. The film has since switched its directorial duties from Damian Lee to veteran stunt professional-turned-filmmaker Nick Powell following his debut helmer, Outcast with Nicholas Cage and Andy On. Darc is finally assembling a principal cast for its production led by actor Armand Assante for producer and former Steven Seagal cohort Julius Nasso to produce, while actors Watanabe Tetsu (Why Don’t You Play In Hell?), Shiina Kippei (Assassination Classroom) and newcomer Ikushima Sho rounding out the current list. It was no Fast And Furious run at the box office for director Scott Waugh’s 2014 live-action take on the Electronic Arts game franchise, Need For Speed, ultimatly falling short of its budget. However, the film did up to $200 million globally, which seems to be enough to get talks going for a sequel overseas according to Deadline. Three companies, China-based film production and distribution company, Jiaflix, is currently in early talks with China Movie Channel and 1905 Pictures, along with EA and Dreamworks Pictures in an effort to move forward with a deal. Author Itaya Gettsu’s 2012 novel publication, Zutaboro, is now a fully-fledged live-action feature these days, and much to the favor of those familiar with the source material. Of course, if you’re one for intense and violent action to boot, then it shouldn’t be a total loss with this particular dramedy, brutally crafted by Flower And Snake Zero helmer Hashimoto Hajime. SYNOPSIS: Koichi (Tasuku Nagase), Yakko (Atsushi Arai) and Kyamu graduate from the same middle school. Koichi now attends high school and joins a motorcycle gang with Yakko. Twitter went a bit crazy on Sunday night when stylist and designer, actress and self-proclaimed stuntwoman Sulinh Lafontaine claimed she performed car-driving stunts in a recent CNN iReport interview in lieu of the latest premiere of director James Wan’s new movie, Furious Seven. It wasn’t the first time she claimed having performed work on the movie, having also given mention to it in a previous interview done back in January. Well, it appears that her otherwise falsely-stated credits are paying a heavy price. The stunt community is a tightly-knit one and word tends to get around mighty fast when someone says or does something significant in any capacity. I don’t blog much about video game trailers – rarely if ever; Hell, I haven’t touched a system in well over a decade. However, the latest launch trailer for Mortal Kombat X is out and it’s virility has already had an effect with other character trailers released prior to this one. Almost all of your favorite characters throughout the franchise will be there, including Liu Kang, Kung Lao, longstanding ninja rivals Scorpion and Sub-Zero, and towering four-armed Goro, with new faces also attached like Cassie Cage and Jacqui Briggs – respective daughters of Earthrealm warriors, actor Johnny Cage and special forces major Jax Briggs, and also horror & sci-fi movie icons Predator and Jason Voorhees, and many more. AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Scores A Final Trailer

The final trailer is out for Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Be advised though, with all the TV spots there are on top of the trailers and featurettes now making the rounds, there’s a mild danger of spoiling yourself nearly to the point of feeling like you’ve already seen the film – it’s kind of a gripe I’ve developed with studios in how heavy they are becoming with their campaigns and I’m sure folks will understand. At any rate, in all likelihood, this film probably took your money already, so whatevs. It’s a fantastic franchise with a sprawling narrative hosted by a great cast of characters and a universe that always leads to bigger and better. So enjoy the trailer below along with a small flurry of IMAX posters beneath, and enjoy the movie when it arrives in the next several weeks!

It’s Monday and I have had quite an epic weekend with much more to talk about after this. That said, hopefully you caught my video with my good friend, film enthusiast Jon Cross after watching Furious Seven as it roared through the box office. Reviews are mixed but the film is still generally loved by the majority of the fans of the franchise who have stuck around since its conception nearly fifteen years ago. Furious Seven, as it is titled on the screen in the U.S., was the third and last film to release posthumously after lead actor Paul Walker lost his life on November 30, 2013 while on holiday break from filming the movie. Thanks in large part to WETA digital, Walker’s brothers Caleb and Cody, and actor and co-star John Brotherton reportedly stood in for the late actor as filming re-commenced in Abu Dhabi in Spring of 2014 […]

It was probably a matter of time and obvious to those in the know, but it’s apparently official now that the release of director James Wan’s Furious 7 is well underway and already well onto an epic weekend at the box-office. Among other things, perhaps the biggest proponent to finishing director James Wan’s Furious 7 in tribute to one of its lead stars, late actor Paul Walker, was the involvement of brothers Cody and Caleb, in conjunction with visual effects house, WETA Digital, in order to help fill in the blanks left behind after his death in late November of 2013. Netflix's DAREDEVIL Rises In Two New Trailers

Netflix’s new series, Daredevil, is just days away from its upcomimg premiere and it’s already receiving high marks from critics, which is quite telling. Sure, it’s not exactly a big screen event like the titles in its theatrical arm, but this may turn out to be a better proven platform to accommodate the overall shift in tone when it comes to the look, the story and the action also adds to the gratification of knowing that much like 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool, not every Marvel property has to be a family-friendly rehash, and it’s okay to get down and dirty, which is exactly the feeling given in all the trailers so far.
