Post-Production Finishes On IRON SKY: THE COMING RACE, Host To A New Poster With A Tagline That Speaks Volumes

To call director Timo Vuorensola’s epic 12-year odyssey with the Iron Sky franchise “challenging” would be an understatement if there ever was. As hard as it is to make a movie, the journey to complete the first film certainly had its challenges before releasing in 2012, while the forthcoming sequel, Iron Sky: The Coming Race, was a definitively gruesome undertaking. Upon announcing Iron Sky spin-off, The Ark, the first official teaser trailer for Iron Sky: The Coming Race launched last May. Post-production was underway and a Finnish premiere date now set for January 16, amid having faced an endangering production halt, rigorous financial negotiations, harrassment from former crew members and lawsuits that would have otherwise killed the movie if the odds weren’t favorable. At this point, three years is a long-enough wait for a film to release, and actor and director Vincent Soberano has seen more than his share of the process and patience that cosigns with today’s film politics – particularly with his feature debut production, Blood Hunters: Rise Of The Hybrids. INEMURI IWANE: Watch The First Teaser For The New Samurai Drama

Director Motoki Katsuhide is taking cues from Saeki Yasuhide’s Futaba Bunko novel series and its three-volume NHK TV series follow-up for the new film, Inemuri Iwane. This one will surely be given an international renaming going forward while the first official teaser has arrived ahead of its May 17 release. The film centers on Iwane and his two friends, Kinpei and Shinnosuke, all who train at the same dojo, and Kinpei’s younger sisters, Shinnosuke’s wife, Mai, and Iwane’s fianceè, Mao. Blood begets blood when Kinpei kills Shinnosuke for murdering Mai in a jealous rage, forcing Iwane’s hand in a duel in the wake of an already-decimated brotherhood. Front and center on the artwork below is actor Matsuzaka Tori (The Blood Of Wolves, Sanada 10 Braves) who leads the cast for a film adapted for the screen by Fujimoto Yuki.

OLDER SISTER: Lee Si-Young’s Victims See Red In The First Official Trailer

Are you a Westerner who loves Asian movies and is ready for something else out of left field? If so, well then take a gander at what lies ahead in Older Sister from debut director Im Kyung-Taek’s upcoming December release. The first official poster is already making the rounds, and the official trailer just aired online this week, hitting the ground running with actress Lee Si-young (The Divine Move) as a former bodyguard out to avenge her sister who was abandoned by the world. KBS 2 drama series Just Dance star Park Se-wan plays the missing sister, and with a cast that also lists I Saw The Devil co-stars Choi Jin-ho and Lee Joon-hyuk, Deranged co-star Lee Hyeong-cheol, upcoming Unstoppable co-star Kim Won-hae and actress Yoon Song-a.

Mongol Epic THE RISING HAWK Spawns A Teaser Poster

Currently in post-production is action adventure epic, The Rising Hawk. Pairing up are directors Akhtem Seitablayev and John Wynn, hailing from FILM.UA Group following its completion of shoot over the summer. Yaroslav Voytseshek and Rich Ronat penned the script setting the story in 1241 when a band of mountain hunters wage war against an imperial Mongol ruler and his army pillaging their way to the Carpathian Mountains. Production took place over the summer in the Carpathians and Kyiv (Ukraine). INVINCIBLE: Peep The Most Recent Poster Art For Daniel Zirilli’s Sci-Fi Action Thriller

It was last week when The Action Elite got the exclusive dibs on the first official poster for Daniel Zirilli’s new action thriller, Invincible. In case you missed it, you can peep it below, headlining actors Johnny Strong and martial arts star, actor Marko Zaror. Hailing from Zirilli’s Popart Film Factory and D3 Telefilm, Invicible sees Strong in the role of Cam Devore, the head of security for a billionaire-backed black site being used to test an inventor’s latest strides in nano-technology. Zaror stars as Brock Cortez, one of the military applicants used for the experiment who Devore is tasked with tracking down when Cortez escapes. Also starring are Vladmir Kulich, Paul Kennedy and Sally Kirkland. D3’s Doug Price is also producing with Zirilli who just recently wrapped Hollow Point with Luke Goss and is setting forth to helm Bad Reputation with Gary Daniels starring.
